  Alex Gorodinsky (and Greg Shmulevich) at Carlson Mortgage was enormously valuable in helping us close with a good loan despite a very short timeline (<30 days) and delays with inspections. He was always available for questions and proactively addressed several potential snags. His hard work and attention to detail kept us on schedule and avoided overlapping with starting a new job in a new city. I would highly recommend Alex and Carlson Mortgage to anyone, especially if your timeline is tight for closing.

  We discovered Carlson Mortgage while doing an online search for local mortgage brokers. Their online ratings were higher than any of the other brokers we considered, and they claimed no broker fees would be involved. We got a quote for our refinance, and then went forward with them. Our loan officer was Alex Gorodinsky - he was incredibly responsive and helpful, replying almost immediately to questions or feedback in the process. All in all, the company lived up to its reputation. We closed within 30 days, received a competitive interest rate and a lender credit that covered all of our closing costs.

  When I needed to buy and later refinance my home, I looked at quite a few banks and brokers and I picked Alex at Carlson Mortgage. The loan process was very smooth, he was easy to work with, and explained everything very clearly. I wasn't charged any broker fees or points and I even got a credit from the lender to apply towards the closing costs, which was a big plus. I also liked the fact that the broker was local and that Alex personally attended the closing to oversee that there were no hiccups. I'd recommend him to others
