  Brian was referred by our realtor and his responsiveness was unparalleled. he is extremely knowledgeable about the real estate market and was particularly helpful during the extreme market fluctuation during Covid to advise the best time to lock in our rates and start our process. His team did a great job of keeping me updated and the actual loan process was so easy. He answers via email and text very quickly and we never felt like we were just another client.   I didn't end up going with Brian, but I have no reservations in recommending him. He was totally upfront with all of his costs and turned around a question I had in 24 hours. The next time a friend or family member is looking for a loan or to refinance, I'll send them to Brian.

  Brian helped me purchase my first home. A family member recommended Brian after using him to buy their first home. I don't live in the Des Moines area, but we were able to do the entire process remotely and use a local escrow company for the closing. Brian was very helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. I am a numbers guy, so I enjoyed using the tools he had to compare the different loan types and interest rates. I would definitely recommend him if you are a first-time homebuyer or just looking to buy a home in general.

  Brian, Nick, and the rest of the team at First Mortgage were nothing short of amazing to work with. This is now the 2nd home we've bought with them. Brian was prompt in getting options to us in the beginning of the process and very thorough in pre-approving my wife and I. Once we decided how we wanted to proceed, he and his team took us the rest of the way without any complications.
