  Bluemels just completed our patio project in Greendale and the result is beautiful. Nate handled the quote and details with professionalism and his communication was excellent. Jose and his crew performed the excavation and installation with skill and precision. Their work and work ethic are a true credit to the company. We will definitely contact Bluemels for our next project.

  I was looking for a very specific type of plant for a difficult location in my yard that couldn't find at other garden centers. Bluemels not only had what I needed but a couple of different species as well. And being open early was a pleasant surprise as well. Oh and it was on sale !

  Really poor experience first time I used their product. I ordered 3 yards of their premium topsoil to cover an entire yard that had been aerated and seeded. This load was just to make sure the yard had nice fertilized topping and fill patches... Well they sent just under 3 yards of dirt mixed with MULCH! Now my entire yard is covered in wood chips!! They gave me $40 back and said that was normal. SUPER TRASH. Any body have any recommendations for good soil and service?

  Quinn, we are sorry for your dissatisfaction but our 'Premium BLENDED Soil' -not 'Premium TOPSOIL', consists of compost, so it is not uncommon to find small natural debris in it such as what you are describing. We clearly state this on our website and it is also labeled on our bin. The "unwanted" debris (compost) you are complaining about becomes very noticeable after settling has occurred, but it actually adds nutrients to the soil, having absolutely zero negative effect on growing plants or grass. In fact, it has a beneficial effect. Any small debris will work itself back into the soil as the grass grows and establishes its roots. Again, we are sorry that this soil blend isn't what you had expected as far as consistency goes, but we feel that a refund of $40 is more than fair- especially when we know that the quality of the soil is excellent and will not impede the growing process.

  Ivan and team have been wonderful to work with. Ivan is responsive, quick, and has an assistive vision when working through decision making/choices. The team is also fast, thorough, and go above and beyond to make sure the job looks good. Will definitely work with them again!

  Great landscaping to three sections of our yard. Good design, good work ethic and good cleanup upon finishing. Would definitely have them again. Good place to have coffee too!

  After having 14 very old and dying pine trees removed from our yard, we decided to hire Bluemel's to do the landscaping to replace what we had cut down. We met with Jeremy and told him what we had in mind and he provided his suggestions and expertise. We ordered 22 trees to be planted in our backyard and while it took a few days for them to finish the project, every day before they left they made sure to clean up the yard and driveway. Even when they were carting the massive trees to the backyard they were careful not to destroy our lawn. The landscaping is now complete and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. Our backyard looks beautiful and have received numerous compliments from our neighbors. Jeremy and his crew were very professional and friendly. We were even impressed on one day when Mike Bluemel came out to oversee the project as Jeremy had another job to go to. We highly recommend Bluemel's for landscaping and plan to use them again in the spring for another project. Bob & Lori

  The gentlemen who did the work went above and beyond my expectations, totally transforming my worn out yard and garden beds to works of art. They even did some repair work on my patio. The plants that were planted were all very healthy and beautiful and the price was well within my expected range. I have always enjoyed shopping at Blumels and this is my first landscaping experience ever. I am so glad I went with this company. Kudos to Ashley for her vision and wonderful ideas as they worked perfectly for my yard. I also want to mention how professional and nice the gentlemen were who worked on my yard.

  Went there to look for some perennials for a new garden and was amazed at the great selection they had. I spent over an hour picking out my plants. They had carts in very good shape, with large wheel that made it easy to maneuver while carrying a bunch of plants. Numerous staff who offered to help. Very happy with the plant quality. Excited to start planting and will definitely return next time I need anything for the garden.

  Booked our drain tile job with Bluemel's back in October. They said they would call to schedule in the spring, but instead of booking a relative date, only called on a random day to say they would be there in 15 minutes. We had talked through the job to make sure we knew what was going on, but when the crew started working we noticed they had missed a step in the process and they had to go back and do it again. Good thing we were watching, because they don't warranty their work! We also had an issue with our contract and they tried to up-sell us instead of completing what the contract had originally outlined. Overall the project looked fine by the end, but it was a really stressful experience. I wouldn't recommend them.
