Bank of the West Reviews

carli rod5Had a lovely experience at this location. My 'home' location has been short staffed, so I scheduled to meet with Jovanny at this location and had a great experience. He answered all of my questions and was able to help us set up new accounts. Many of the reviews complain about the lack of staffing, and while its true many location are under staffed, this is not the fault of the day to day employees, even if it is their burden. Jovanny truly took the time to make sure we understood and I look forward to working with him again. Please let him know he is appreciated!

Don Newell5Rating for this branch only. Sarah M. Goes above and beyond for every customer and her example should be your corporate model since your call center almost drove me away from your banking institution. She takes service to a level rarely seen in your company, especially outside of this branch. Thank you and AAARG!

Donna Atchison1I barely go out because of covid but had banking for 2 different accounts I needed to take care of. I had to have someone drive me because I'm handicapped. The manager talked to me like I was a dog, wouldnt let me in the bank, they kept the door locked. She insisted I go in drive thru, I said no. She was rude and said I had to wait. Teller came and unlocked door, same argument for over 10 minutes of being rude he finally let me in. I've been with them over 30 years was treated like i had covid. Reported to corporate. Manager is is horrible witch who thinks shes better than everyone. I hate that specific bank

Hunter1I had a terrible experience here. I came to rectify my business account problem which was that the free business account had charged me $25.00 Which no big deal they should refund because its a free account. Associated with this fee is an overdraft fee of $30.00. They told me that they are too busy to help me rectify this account and that I would need to call customer support. They also failed to deposit a check for me because my truck was too big to fit through the drive through during the covid19 pandemic. Which apparently because of covid they need more money so they increased the business account costs! Just great. I highly recommend that you steer clear from anything B.O.W. their services, pricing, and loan rates all trash!

Mirannda Sur1After being closed for 3 days they only had 1 teller working! Making us waiting for 45 minutes! We were the 4th car and we still haven’t made it to the teller! I do not recommend coming to this one if they only have 1 teller working!!

Jessica Swenson1Banks are only as good as the people working in them. I usually bank with bank of the west in Englewood, however I work in Aurora so I use that bank from time to time. I have had so many bad experiences with them starting with the day I left my bank card in the ATM ( easy mistake to make.) They recovered my card and called me to let me know that they had it in their possession, I let them know I was coming to get it but that it would be 2 days as I live in Englewood and it happened on a Friday. Whoever called me put the note down on their log, when I went to pick up my card it was shredded!!!!!! Yes I was not happy in the store, then the Blonde teller (older lady).. was super rude to me. It was almost like she was happy about giving me the news that they shredded my card which didn't sit well with me. Last week I came in to apply for a secured credit card. Because all of the personal bankers were in a "meeting" all at the same time the teller guy had to give me the application. Mind you that I am aware personal bankers and tellers are trained very different. He had no business dealing with my credit. I am a business professional and even if I am in a meeting and a student needs me then I leave the meeting and assist the student. At this branch they do not care about the customer. So a few days pass and I don't get a call of the verdict. I know that my credit was pulled as it dropped my credit score. When I called back into the branch once again I was speaking to a teller. He said "hold on one second let me see what happened with your application." When he came back to the phone he said that I was denied which was odd for a 300.00 secured card. My originial bank just so happened to call me today and asked how my service has been and to see if there was anything they can do for me. I told him "Cedrick" the situation and he went out of his way to see what happened, he called me back to tell me it was denied because of my debt to income ratio. Well the reason my debt to income ratio was bad is due to whoever put the information in taking 5,000 of my monthly income. Which made it look like I made 546.00 a month. I am super upset because now they have to run it again and I have to be hit with another point. You all need better trainers and whomever who let this branch be so lazy is at fault just as much as the people working.

Jei Christian1I've been with this bank for over 8 years. I have slowly watched its service level decline. Today August 5th I drove up to the drive-thru and it said open. I pressed the button to get help and lady says I'm sorry sir we're closed. I asked the woman why does your sign say open and all she did was shake your head at me and say no. I don't understand why they keep the open signs on and then when you go to use their service they say no and shake their head at you instead of answering your question. Then of course there's a guy next to me is getting help. Why is it he got help but I didn't? Crummy, crummy, crummy inconsistent service.. I am debating taking my business elsewhere, bit I'm sure all banks are the same. I guess I'll just try, a different location..

Wayne Hawkins4I think banks are changing from paper to computers. Less work for people, more work for computers. I was happy I didn't have to wright paper work to make a deposit.

Lonnell Tracy1I was in this Bank of the West last week when I was behind a lady asking a teller named Tyler for information regarding her account. Her questions were very simple but Tyler was real condescending, rude and down-right mean towards her and as I was waiting for my turn behind her I just thought if this were my sister or mother I would not want them to talked to or handled like this. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION THEY HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IT IS COMPLETELY ACCEPTED BY THE MANAGER.

Jeremiah Shore1This branch is so slow, you'd swear they were printing the money here lol. I've only ever had to come here a few times, and 90% of those visits were remarkably slow or unpleasant in some way.
