Caroline Demory5I went in w/o an appointment (in a small panic) because I couldn't get into my online account. Ani Aroush was kind enough to see me herself without waiting. She was able to fix the problem quickly and with understanding. She was wonderful @!
Response from the ownerThanks for letting us know how helpful Ani was during your financial center visit. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know what we’re doing well.

Suzanne Sutton1It is difficult to believe this is a bank. The number of errors and the sloppiness of money handling is extreme. Then the difficulty in getting anyone to address it is excessive - the amount of time a client must spent to get the bank to correct ITS errors. Many issues: 1). ATM took a check for nearly $2000, did not credit it and I cannot reach anyone to help me locate it "hold times are longer than usual." They took the $2000.00 and have not posted it, returned it, and will not speak to me about it. 2). I attempt to log on and check my balance and am told "online banking is not accessible to you." I call up and try to speak to someone to see why and am told "hold times are longer than usual. But we appreciate my business." You cannot say "longer than usual" if this excessive wait is how it always is - and it always is. 3). often, they completely shut me out of online banking despite no change to user name, password, or anything else. 4). Previously they misapplied my mortgage payment, it took hours and may days of calls to me claiming I was late until they found the teller had applied the payment to the wrong account. I asked for a letter from BofA stating that is late mortgage payment was in fact not late, and was a BofA error, and was told - after literally two hours in the branch with the manager on hold, that "Bank of America doesn't write letters." 5). An "associate" in this branch told me I had to open a different kind of account because they were closing my kind of account - so I did. Her information was false, and cost me more than $100 in unnecessary fees. This is no way to run a business, and certainly no way to run a bank. 6). When I called to speak to them during a break from work the associate said I needed to make an appointment, and hung up on me when I tried to address some of this over the phone. Find a different bank or credit union and save yourself a LOT of needless aggravation. I have filed complaints with the banking commission, because we're not talking about a blouse or jacket the cleaners lost - this is a large amount of hard earned money, and the sloppiness is so routine with them, you cannot get through to anyone to help correct their error ,the backlog of their errors is so great. Avoid Bank of America.

Jolie Sow1Worst experience ever! I read the reviews before going there and was a little skeptical but now, I can say that this is the worst branch I have ever been to. I waited for 78 minutes before I could sit with an associate. I told them I needed a letter from BOA showing my account number and the routing number and her answer was "we don't do that, I can give you a three-month statement". I was like "euhhh, is that what I just asked for? " well, I am so frustrated that I don't even know how to qualify the incompetent staff there. No training on what the bank can do or cannot do for their clients, no problem solving skills, nothing. If MY bank cannot do or try to do little things, what is the point of doing business? On my way home, I called customer service and guess what???? The letter will be emailed to me on Monday! If BOA does not want to properly train their staff, they'll lose me as a customer!

Alexander Anderson1If I could put zero stars I would. The manager is the definition of horrible. They will do anything to block you from having your money and are not helpful. Roxanna, the woman manager, is the problem... extremely unhelpful. God... I also live in Derwood... why would you conflict with people that LIVE here.

Fernando Casafranca1TERRIBLE SERVICE....these folks do not care about Customer Service. I visit them as I am a BoA customer for over 20 years with a simple request to help me set up a Bill pay from an App. They made me wait on line then they told me to take a seat and that someone would call me to help me. 25 minutes later with no customers, no one come to help me. I walked out.

Jeff Boeckl5I started visiting this location because I was tired of the depressing situation at the Olney branch. The experience at the Derwood location has been nothing but great. I rarely wait long. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have banked with Ani several times and she has been wonderful. They get me in and out timely and they do not run out of change. Not much more I could ask for! Thank you for the great service!

A R5I came to this location to re-activate a couple accounts I closed years ago. I am very glad I did, the Assistant Vice President, Wei Chen personally helped me through a bit of a complicated process with a name change, etc and made the whole experience seamless and painless. Glad to be back with the Bank of America family!
