Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM) Reviews

Mariela Martinez1Disappointed with service at this place every time we come in and after reading other reviews, seems like a lot of people have bad experiences as well. Instead of referring customers to your ”social media,” Actually do something to fix their banking issues.
Response from the ownerHi, Mariela. We value our customers' opinions and appreciate that you took the time to share your feedback with us. Rich Rodgers2Bank of America is a horrible bank if you live paycheck to paycheck. They have charges specifically designed to make money from those who can afford it the least. For some people, like my parents, who have a good cushion from a lifetime of hard work, and this is just one of their financial tools, it's fine. They never get charged any annoying little amounts, because they always have plenty in there. However for myself, who actually needs most my money, it seems like they can't find enough ways to take it from me. The final straw was when I went to cash a paycheck, drawn on an account from their bank, and they charged me. They said it was in case the check bounced. It was their account! All they had to do was look. If they can't tell if money is there, who can? Unless I'm dealing with my folks accounts, I don't walk in the door any more. They need to make money off of some other peons.

Colton Simon5I always get friendly service here even when theyre packed. I come from topeka and dont mind the drive but i always hear someone yelling at the workers about the topeka closing and they still maintain a great attitude given it wasnt their fault. Keep up the great work guys!
Response from the ownerHi, Colton. Thank you for the positive review about your recent experience with Bank of America. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know. ^Joseph

Amy Castro2ATM is always down and the people are rude. I've had maybe one good experience here. I just don't understand why, especially when I try to cash a chceck and they want to charge a fee for it. Ugh.

Cassie Bravence1This location deserves zero stars. My first two visits to this branch have been a nightmare and won't be returning again. I’ll be better off diving to a Topeka location. The manager Raphael (who I have read about on Google reviews already) is incredibly rude and obviously doesn’t care about people’s banking needs. The reviews don’t lie. Needless to say don’t waste your time.

Denise Holloman2I am guessing that they do not value customers as everything is by appointment only, even to just open an account. Good luck managing your money here.

Nathan1If I could give zero stars I would. My first deposit was a Canadian check and it was my last. My check was for $758 and they told me they charge a $40 fee for foreign checks and it took 5 weeks to clear and they charged an additional $77 fee. So my $758 check got me $641 in my checking account. Avoid BOA at all costs if you don't like shelling out money to your bank.

Alex (Alex)1If I could give zero stars I would. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. I went in 2 1/2 years ago to close my account. They assured me over the phone a few days later when I called to see where the check with my remaining balance was. I assumed that my dad had it since I moved out of state. I recently checked the email account I had linked with the account (and never use) only to see that it was still open. VERY ANGRY that they did not close my damn account.

Don Zahn11 star is as low as you can rate them, but if 1/4 star was possibly they would receive that instead. Horrible service, constantly mess up funds in my accounts, they don't answer to any of their mistakes, have no phone wait line so you have to keep calling back all day, and when they do answer the phone the low quality and poorly trained staff CANNOT help figure out most situations. And when I have no other option but to go in, the same low quality and poorly trained staff have absolutely no hustle in their work, as I type this I have been in line behind one person at the only teller for over fifteen minutes, and as far as I can tell they were only making a deposit.

Illini Hyram1I've been to the BofA Lawrence branch at differing hours of the day many times. The teller lines are routinely long both inside the branch and at the drive-thru. Ironically, while multiple customers are waiting in long teller lines, the other lobby employees are sitting at desks with no customers; just sitting there. I've witnessed 12 customers waiting in a teller line, while five separate lobby employees just sit at their desks alone for over 25 minutes. At every other bank I do business with in Lawrence, the lobby employees immediately help waiting customers in the teller line. The customer service at the Lawrence BofA branch is as bad as it gets.
