I used the ATM inside the building. A bank employee hovered near me the whole time, asking questions. He appeared to be giving a tour to someone else. Most uncomfortable ATM visit ever.

This bank and branch are a nightmare I cannot wake up from. The inside is always closed. They dont answer the phone. They have put hold for weeks on my checks. Then when the cleared, they gave me a temp card then LOCKED UP MY ONLINE ACCOUNT BECAUSE THEY CHANGED MY ADDRESS, WHICH I DID NOT WANT TO HAPPEN. I've been on the phone for 3 days, totaling 12 ,yes, TWELVE HOURS trying to fix the mess this Branch has made. And I can't fix it, they transfer me into a loop until the last transfer where it says call cant be completed as dialed, THEN IT ENDS THE CALL. I WILL BE QUITING THIS BANK ASAP, IF THEY EVER LET ME TALK TO WHO I NEED TO.

Worst service I've ever experienced. Does Bank of America pay attention to these reviews. Been banking here for 7 years and tried to deposit a check (exactly what the bank wants) that was endorsed by my father. The teller and manager were worthless and refused without reason. Corporate HQ said it was up to the locations discretion to accept. My father called and asked them to pull up his account to make all of our lives easier and the manager just simply said no. When did Bank of America start hiring only fry cooks?

Where do I start? Applied online with direct deposits to set up accounts, they approved accounts to be opened so I waited for my direct deposit to hit to begin using them. Three days prior to my direct deposit hitting the account, they closed my account for no reason and with no explanation. Aggravated, I go into the local branch to reopen them. Accounts get reopened, they order my checks and send me on my way. My direct deposit goes through smoothly, and I write my first check (for rent) and it bounces!! Why? Oh because they ordered me checks for my savings account and not my checking account. I had the money, in my checking and not savings. So not only did I pay fees with them, but I paid penalties with my landlord as well for no fault of my own. Needless to say, I closed my accounts and went to RBFCU.

I had great customer service here! The clerks are very helpful and they do their best to work with you. I was very satisfied with my experience and it is good to know that the Bank of America in San Marcos cares for it's clients/customers. They helped me when it was past 4pm and made sure everything I came in for was taken care of. I wasn't expecting such a positive experience, so I'm definitely glad I came in!

I would never recommend Bank of America to anyone! I closed my account almost three years ago, while leaving a minimum amount to cover any surprises that could possibly come in. Imagine my surprise last month when I received notice of a monthly service charge for said account. I promptly called to find out that whomever had closed the account had not done so correctly, and that said person had put some flag on my account causing it to be blocked from my own use and access, and even blocking it from being pulled up at the financial institution. After over an hour on the phone and being passed around to several departments, I was told I would have to go in person to have the account closed. I showed up to the local branch, and was asked why I wanted their help when I could do this by phone myself. I told them I had tried and had been steered to the in person route. This person couldn’t get the account t pulled up and led me to a room where she called the same number I had called, and left me alone to handle it. Of course they needed to ask questions only the financial institution could answer. I had to go in search of the manager, who was with other customers, and wait for them to finish. After over another hour it was determined the “back office” would have to do a “manual” shutdown of my account-which would take several business days. No offer to reimburse me, or we are so sorry for your inconvenience, but they did invite me to bank with them again. There was this other time when goi g through the drive through, and the teller sent my DL off with someone else. She insisted she had returned it to me when my son called my cell to tell me some lady was at the door with it-the bank had been trying to call her, and she decided to just drive to my address instead-the bank knew, but lied to me about returning it to me when they knew what had happened all along. Run from Bank of America!

I have been banking with BoA for a long time but I have never experienced such awful service than at this branch. The tellers are rude and seem annoyed to actually have to do anything. I used to go inside to deposit my cash and a teller rudely asked why I don't just use the ATM's outside. After explaining that I had had a negative experience at another branch, she rolled her eyes and completed my deposit. They only ever have one person working behind the counter. I would fully switch over to Wells Fargo if I didn't have a long standing credit card at BoA.

Well, I just called the San Marcos branch, and all I kept getting was voice mail. Couldn't talk to anyone because they don't give you the option of waiting, nor do they give you the option of getting a call back. Thank God I don't bank there!
