Worst customer service ever experienced with a bank. Bank of America hires lazy people to answer phones that don't want to help you and hang up on you if they don't feel like talking to you. Then when you call back of course there is 'no record' of who hung up on you. Also, got a message that they are no longer supporting the windows online banking app. Well if you are a windows user, you cannot use your phone or tablet to bank. Nice. Not to mention every time you go to a branch, there are NEVER enough tellers and you have to wait in line for an hour. They are also closing a bunch of branches so there is not one close open on Saturdays. I will be changing banks.

Pause a moment. Whether you are a customer of bank of america, or an employee, my words are addressed to you. There is no shortage of animosity toward financial institutions lately. What I can offer is a candid perspective and some simple solutions to making real change. I will make it worth your time if you will offer me the courtesy of your attention. It's easy to be distracted these days. The pervasiveness of mass coordinated criminal activity by large banks is a proven phenomena. For example, wells fargo employees illegally set up accounts for customers without their knowledge or consent. With the exception of those directly affected, it seems that no one has had time to digest what a remarkable betrayal this is. What was their sentence? A slap on the wrist in the form of a fine. The sensational 24/7 news cycle has kept most everyone distracted while the great robbery ensues, this time in plain sight. Do you ever stop to think who you entrust your money to? If you're an employee of bank of america, consider how your everyday actions effect others. When this house of cards comes crashing down, how might you be judged? Perhaps the most critical question is who should be held accountable for this mess? I think those of us still handing over our money to bank of america must accept responsibility. While changing your bank can be a daunting task, contributing to the growth of this corperate malignancy is unethical. There may not be an abundance of options, but there are better options than b of a. I'm finished handing over my money to this abomination. I am done wasting my time on the phone with their human and robotic minions. I am beginning a new project. Since my departure from bank of america won't make a dent financially, I have to get creative. Help me shed light on all of the dirty little secrets that bank of america wishes to keep in the dark. Share your experience. If you feel as I do put your money where your mouth is and join me! Let's concentrate our reviews here. This Hydra has many heads but only one black heart. Most important, you must speak to these people in the only language they understand...dollars and cents. If you can't cancel your account, just withdrawal as much as you can stomach. If you really want to see this thing go away, withdrawal every dime of your money from their greasy little paws and close your account(s). It will be a glorious day! Let's take a moment to glance under the hood and see why b of a is such filth. Have ever wondered how the bank decides to authorize a charge when there are insufficient funds in your account? bank of america utilizes an ingenius algorithm that analyzes your spending habits to determine the precise dollar amount it can "lend" you to maximize accruals of ultra high interest short term lends (AKA overdraft fees). They put payday loan companies to shame! Overdraft fees are a staple of b of a's diet, but fees are the tip of the iceberg. Like most large 21st century corperations, b of a is ravenous for your data. If you are not concerned about the implications of banks leveraging your personal data to maximize profits, you're lucky to be so naive! This is where bank of america excels in pure scumbaggery. If you work for this enterprise, all the money you make will never buy back your dignity. Rest assured all ye "valued" employees of b of a, no matter how important you think you are, you're going to be obsolete soon. You had better bet that you're currently training your non human replacement. I love AI and robots, but not yours! Your AI systems are programmed with the worst qualities of human nature. Just find something else to do. I'm sure you are just trying to put food on the table, just doing your job, just sticking to the script. Don't you want more out of life than the list of options your computer authorizes you to do? This is never going to end if we don't all step up to the plate.

Only Bank of America could charge a $35 fee on a one-time $5 online debit-card purchase of Skype minutes to stay in touch with my family during difficult times. I've been a client of BofA since 2013. Recently, I purchased 60 min on Skype on my BofA debit card to stay in touch with my family during difficult times. It was not a subscription but a one-time purchase. A few days later, BofA dropped my pending Skype transaction, but I didn't notice that at that time. After a few debit card purchases and ACHs, my account balance was close to zero. Then, after more than a week from the transaction, the $5 Skype purchase appeared. Bank of America charged me $35 for a $5 debit card purchase. In the case of insufficient funds, Chase, US Bank, or Wells Fargo, would have simply declined the transaction. I called BofA, and the representative said it was a recurring transaction. I said it was a single purchase and asked for a definition of a recurring transaction. The representative failed to provide me. I thought fine and asked him to point me out to the definition in the account agreement, to tell me the page number and the paragraph. He replied: "What do you want me to do? Refund you the $35? - No. You can do whatever you want, but you will not get your $35 back." At the end, he added: "I hope I provided a world-class service." Why did he ask that? He did not know the definition of a recurrent transaction or where it was in the checking account agreement. And then you will be telling us "we've got your back."

I am an attorney trying to recover $6850 in unauthorized withdrawals from my client's account. I called Bank of America in an attempt to get a mailing address for its Fraud and Claims Division. I had to work my way through 3 or 4 people and only after exactly 59 minutes, 58 seconds, was I able to obtain the address. It is easier to sue Bank of America than to communicate with it in any meaningful way.

Bank of America turned down an A+ candidate for a loan. They are extremely conservative and old schooled. What a waste of time. Completely displeased with my banking experience with Bank of America. Do not waste your time with them!

Bank of America is driving my elderly mother crazy, wasting both of our time, and causing my mother a lot of stress by locking her out of her account because she is trying to use it to send a Zelle payment. She called the number they wanted and she could barely hear the representative after waiting a long time on hold. Totally unacceptable customer "service".

Never use any BOA because they are all awful. But this location, no one is ever available to answer the phone. When you do reach someone, it is because you have called their direct line. However, when you call and need something from them, verification of some sort, they refuse to help, send you to a website that is not connected to them, and you don't get what you need.

I've been trying for two days to get through to an agent for help on my home loan account. I was on hold both times for over two hours. They are closing many of the branches in my area, making it very difficult fore to make a deposit or pay my mortgage. I don't do any online banking. I once trusted this bank. Not anymore.

Since June 2017, I've had to close down and reopen my credit card account due to fraudulent charges and it is getting annoying and ridiculous. For the last two, I've limited the credit card usage to my local Costco and one gas station but the fraud charges are still coming. I asked the fraud department to investigate which merchant is the cause of this but I am not getting any useful information. The typical answer is: It's complicated and it takes time. The replacement card arrived on Friday 11/17 and upon activated the card I tried to use it in a restaurant but I was told the transaction was denied. I called the customer service then found out the replacement card was CLOSED before it even reached my house. Yes you read that right, one of your BoA associates decided it was a good idea to CLOSE A CREDIT WHEN IT WAS ON AN UPS TRUCK on its way to your customer. After talking to one of the supervisors on Friday night and exhausted all options to reactivate the card I have to settle for a new card to be mailed out to me overnight on Monday 11/20 and I should receive it on Tuesday 11/21. Today, 11/21, after waited a whole day without getting notification from UPS I decided to call customer service again on tonight to check the status of the package. Then I was told the card was mailed out but it went out via regular mail instead of overnight like I requested and was promised. Again, after exhausting all possible options I settled for having another card mail out to me on Tuesday 11/21 and I should receive it on Wednesday 11/22. After talking to the associate I requested to speak with a supervisor so I can confirm everything is in order and I will get my card on 11/22. Then the supervisor delivered me the news that due to all the recent activities on my account (WHICH WERE ALL CAUSED BY THE INCOMPETENCE OF THE BOA TEAM) that it was selected to be put under review by the computer. The card will only go out after a human physically reviewed the account and gave it the approval. But since it was already late no one can do that and the supervisor can't promise that department will get to it the next day. So the bottom line is here I am, almost a week after the initial incident started, I am still without a card and without an estimated arrival date. Again I would like to ask you, is this your way to treat a Preferred Award Platinum Honors customer? If so then please let me know because there is a Chase branch office right down the road from my house.

Horrible bank they do nothing but steal our hard earned money for 3 years i had direct deposit of 3 thousand every week coming into my account and they still charged me a maintenance fee come to find out someone that works there which is a friend of mine he told me that if u have more then 250 bucks direct deposit then they shouldnt be taking a maintenance fee from you. Of course bank of America wont tell me that cuz they just are thieves. Definitely switching to chase or maybe just my own pockets and a safe at home. Banks are all thieves charging us to hold our money.
