With their credit card services, they offer opportunities to open a credit card account, and pay 0% interest for the first 12 to 15 months. This is also available 0% interest for 12 to 15 months, in some situations, on balance transfers. Also, the website URL associated with this Google Maps location is the Bank of America website.

Within one business day of discovering identity thieves were attempting to fraudulently open new accounts in my name, including hours of filing Federal Trade Commission identity theft report, local police report, and fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, Bank of America (supposedly coincidentally) made a "business decision" they claim is wholly unrelated to the fraud to no longer do business with me, revole my credit, and close my account I have had for nearly five years. Took over an hour on the phone with four different customer service associates to be told to call an account closure line, which is only available during banking business hours on the East Coast. Oh, and Bank of America made this supposedly coincidental, unrelated decision in the middle of a global pandemic. Loyal customers can expect this level of abhorrent service from Bank of America.

My wife owns a boutique. They recently randomly closed out all her accounts. We have been trying to figure out when or even if she’s getting her money. They literally stole around 20k from us. We have another business without it she would be closing her doors as she has no money to pay rent or employees or even buy merchandise. Their checkxsystem report show “no information” on any reports that would cause them to close the accounts. So this bank literally at random closed and stole her money. I left this bank including many friends and family after learning they do this. We would have never known until it happened to us what a common thing it is for Bank of America to close out your accounts without notice or warning and hold your money indefinitely until they decide they will release it back. H adding to the corporate today to demand it back. Will try and update this review when we get her money back. Boa will randomly close your account for any or no reason (why?!) and steal your money. Edit: after 7 months she got back about 15k from the 20k they stole. They charged her almost $300 for each account they closed even a couple she had with not much in them. On top of that a sales tax payment to the state was delayed and cause a penalty for us to pay even though we had it scheduled but BOA again took all the money out on that day it was pending. To this day nobody at BOA knows why the accounts were closed. Our guess is whoever is responsible for the closure started the process by mistake and BOA couldn’t reverse it by that point or didn’t want to admit they completely screwed up. Either way, F Bank of America. Complete garbage corporation that could not care less about the customers that keep it running.

We have tried unsuccessfully 3 times to close our account after 24 years. They were taking money out of our checking account without authorization. Bank of America keeps charging us now with different amounts after we try to close it. We have been told each time that we would get a letter & email stating the account is closed. How do we get away from this demon?

I have been in business for over 45 years. I have never know of Banking like this. I am about to take legal action. They have allowed third parties to help themselves to my money. They themselves need looking into rather severely too. I would never recommend this sham to anyone. See you in Court.

Checking account services are beyond awful. I ended my previous job in Chicago on June 10 and started a new job in New Mexico on July 10. Moving implied expenses, and landlords typically collect a triple rent for the first payment: the first month, the last month, and the security deposit. I received my first paycheck at the end of the month, but there were no ATMs in Los Alamos or nearby towns. How to deposit my check? I called BofA, and after a 10 – 15 min wait, a representative answered. His response to my question was: "You could probably try ATMs of other banks, but I am not sure." Given that he was not confident enough in his responses, I made another call. This representative said I should not deposit checks in ATMs of other banks, or I would lose my funds. So how to deposit a check? Then I remembered a YouTube commercial of BofA on mobile deposit (the one with the llama). The representatives were not aware of this option, apparently. I tried it, and the next day my funds were both present and available. I scheduled a few payments like credit cards and auto loans from my checking account. The next day, the check was placed on hold, and BofA charged me $35 and not once, but for every ACH. My funds were not available for use. I called BofA, but the representative refused to cooperate. She said she did not know who my employer and whether it had funds to pay my salary (Los Alamos National Laboratory, 11500 employees). A week later, the funds became available, but a phone representative agreed to refund only one $35 fee. Another representative asked me to call him the next day or call someone else because he had refunded too much in fees for the day. A week later, a Tweeter representative refunded the rest. It looks like it depends on who picks up the phone at BofA. Shortly after that, I received a letter in my mail saying that my check had been placed on hold and that I would be refunded all the fees for all the payments scheduled from my account during the hold if there had been enough funds, which there would have been. So why did the first representative kept refusing to refund the fees even after the hold had been lifted? The reps' favorite response is: "I cannot be responsible for what other representatives say." And when I asked to connect me to someone who is responsible, they refused. Is there at BofA someone responsible for what the reps say? Finally, I made a purchase with my debit card (not a subscription, not a recurring transaction), but did not check if I had enough funds. BofA processed the transaction and charged me $35. With Chase, US Bank, or Wells Fargo, the transaction would have simply been declined. I called BofA, and the representative said it was a recurring transaction. I said it was a single purchase and asked for a definition of a recurring transaction. The representative did not provide me with one. I thought fine and asked him to point me out to the definition in the account agreement, to tell me the page number and the paragraph. He replied: "What do you want me to do? Refund you the $35? No, you've already been refunded too many times this year." Sure, but that was for the check that had been placed on hold, and the Bank had promised to refund all of the fees in the letter. The representative said: "You can do whatever you want." At the end, he added: "I hope I provided a world-class service." Why did he say that? He did not know the definition of a recurrent transaction or where it was in the checking account agreement. In my experience of checking with Chase, Wells Fargo, US Bank, and Bank of America, BofA is the worst. I have saved about half a dozen of my friends and co-workers from opening a checking account with BofA, even though there is a branch just as you enter Santa Fe, driving from Los Alamos. I tell them: "If you would like to bank with a major bank and made it all the way to Santa Fe, drive for another mile to Wells Fargo or a few miles to US Bank to avoid all the hassles with your checking accounts."

I am trying to finance my Bank of America mortgage with another vendor. There are about $10,000 of unexplained/unexpected charges on my mortgage payoff document. Now, I feel like I am being held hostage between two choices - A) continue paying the higher BoA interest rate instead of the lower refi rate until this is resolved (i.e. this is literally costing me money everyday) - B) Concede and pay BoA the $10k in charges so I can finish my refi I refuse to let BoA’s incompetence strong-arm me into choice B. Tuesday 1/12 - Spoke to 11 people over the course of 3 hours. Nobody could explain the charges nor how they were calculated. - last person tells me they did 3 things - escalate to their supervisor and I should get a call back in 24hrs - log an official compliant and I should get a call back in 48-72 hrs - Sent a request to the back office to research the charges and I should hear back in 48 hrs. Tuesday 1/19 - nobody got back to me from the 1/12 series of calls. Not the supervisor. Not the people following up on the complaint. Not the research into the charges - I spoke to 5 additional people over the course of 2 hrs. Nobody could explain the charges. - The last person did the following (same as steps as on 1/12) - escalate to their supervisor and I should get a call back in 24hrs - log an official compliant and I should get a call back in 48-72 hrs - Sent a request to the back office to research the charges and I should hear back in 48 hrs. Saturday 1/23 - nobody got back to me from the 1/12 series of calls. Not the supervisor. Not the people following up on the complaint. Not the research into the charges According to their website, BoA’s values are - delivery together: “Together” doesn’t mean getting bounced around to 16 people with no resolution. - act responsibly: It is not responsible for BoA to be 0 for 6 in expected callbacks and leaving me hostage. This is affecting my daily life and I’m not seeing the action that indicates their understanding of that. - realize the power of our people: not very powerful when 16 people can’t help me. - trust the team: again, working together doesn’t mean pull in 16 people and still not being able to solve an issue. How can a company make any claim that these values are more than lip service when a situation like this arises? Their mission statement is “to help make financial lives better by connecting clients and communities to the resource they need to be successful. -> Epic failure in achieving this in my case I've logged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

1 star since you can't post 0 stars. Garbage company. Let me view/export transactions by custom date. Only being able to see transactions by monthly statement is what I would expect from a 12 year old's website, not a bank who made $113.59 billion in 2019. You are the worst bank in the world. I would more easily trust a blind, deaf infant born to an dying civilization who can't communicate or use technology than trust you with my money.

This company has had a major data breach for over a month with no attempt to fix it. I have called to tell them that they are forwarding their calls to me people are leaving all of their confidential information on my voicemail because Bank of America has made no effort to correct their error in forwarding calls to my phone. Please feel free reach out to get this issue resolved as I’m sure you wouldn’t like this to go to the news as well

I went and deposited money into a savings account. And they told me 01% is how much I will make every month. So I asked them why I want to buy a car well how much interest are y'all going to on that one. He said 9%. I said so y'all can get 9% for me but if I give y'all money y'all give me zero money I think this company is just not right anymore I think that Bank of America should be shut down.
