  I'm a Michigan-native, and I went to American Jewelry and Loan to sell some items that I've won in various online auctions. I had, what I thought would be, the pleasure of working with Les and Bobby. As we were walking to my car to look at my items, I told Les that I was bummed that I'm no longer able to watch TruTV or Hardcore Pawn on Comcast. I asked him if he knew, by chance, the reason why I was no longer able to watch TruTv or Hardcore Pawn. He responded to my question with, "How the hell should I know?" My attempt to make the walk to the car less quiet and awkward had gone wrong. We got to the car, and he asked me how much money I wanted for my items. I told him, "I'd like a price that we could both benefit from." He gave me a low-ball offer, and I politely said no. Before I had a chance to say anything else or barely blink, Les said, "Okay." Then he immediately turned around and walked inside. I got in my car and drove home. Since then, I've sold the items for more than double Les's offer. My advice: Stick to eBay. Stay away from American Jewelry and Loan.

  Came all the way from Fort Worth, Texas to Detroit. Could not pass up the opportunity to go in. One of my favorite shows lol. Great staff btw!!

  From Spain, You look so nice... So smart...So money... But the real thing is that you never read, El Mercader de Venecia, let me hice you the name in Spanish... There is no charme , no glamour, nothing but one deal you call back tonyour clients and gove them something real for a couple of Guitars... Please , do not teach to our childs to be lake that...   Less ...i think ur a good business man...i watch ur show...i myself have been a business man for 28 yrs...i see you do the right thing...but then i see you talk the public down alot lower then they should really get...then you brag how ur going to make a killing on their pawn....no matter what you should always give the public their fair share and you will always make your killing...a win win ...when dealing with the public...i wish you and ur family well....DO THE RIGHT THING!

  This store is a rip off. They bought a 3000 massage chair, and the idiot seller took only 160. I intend all the rip offs you do come back to haunt you in this life and when you're all dead. another example. some idiot sold an antique scope for 20 bucks and they flipped it for 300 dollars. Rip off R.I.P.

  I went in and purchased a MPC 2000XL they told me the spider needed to be repaired but otherwise it worked fine. They lied I took it to a repair shop and found it was not working at all. I called them and offered to return it for store credit and purchase something else but they said it was sold as is but how does that work if they lie about the condition at the point of sale. Beware the are all about setting up drama not being a good pawn shop.
