Most recently, Heidi Davey helped me find everything I needed for my taxes. I'm grateful for the personalized care and member relationship.

  First, I want to start this by saying I would not reccomend altana to any young adults wanting to build credit, keep reading to see why. Id love to give altana more but honestly the way they proccess transactions is messy, I've had transactions be pending for a week and then disappear, then it suddenly gets charged to my account days after it was no where to be seen in pending or recent transactions, or it will stay pending and take the money from my available balance, but when it processes it doesn't take what was held, it takes from my available balance. I've tried talking to a loan officer about a loan and was told that since I didn't have a credit score I needed a cosigner, no biggy, not everyone has people who are willing to cosign for them, again no biggy, but when I tried to speak to the same agent about a secured credit card later the same day, I never received a call back, and it's been over a week. I love altanas offers, and have had an account with them for almost 3 years now, but with this continuing problem I've been seriously debating switching. I figured being a federal credit union there would be more options to build credit or it might possibly be not necessarily easier but more accessible to young adults, but when loan officers don't call back for almost over a week, or come across as indifferent towards young adults trying to build credit, that too makes it hard to want to continue working with altana. Hopefully these issues can be resolved.

  This was the first time I had been into Altana and also the first time I had been to a credit union. The concept is a little different, but I liked it. The lender KaCee Erickson was so kind and professional. I felt completely comfortable asking her all my questions and expressing my concerns. I was really impressed with all the knowledge and insights she had to share. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with KaCee if you need to refinance a car. I was so blessed to have her help with my car loans and make the process easy to understand. You're in the best hands with her. I've never met such a sweet lady at a bank like her.

  We had THE BEST experience with Altana! I called around to get information from many financial institutions for refinancing our mortgage. From the moment I called Altana was amazing. My husband and I worked with Chris Lorash and absolutely loved working with him. He took the time to explain all of our options, and even added some ideas we hadn't though about yet (we actually made a different decision than we planned, thanks to his suggestion). He made sure we understood why loans work the way they do, and answered all of our questions! If you are looking for any type of loan, look no further and get ahold of Altana!

  I opened an acct. here because I was from out of town. I needed a local presence. I had the acct. open for about 10 months. One thing that really bothered me, whenever I went to the outside ATM I would get $100. The machine would give me 2 - $50.00. I had no choice in the matter. I would always have to go in and exchange it for $20.00. I would always complain to the teller. Nothing changed. No business would accept $50.00 bills. Anyway, I closed my acct. when my bank finally came here. The receptionist at the bank, Missie, I think her name is. Took all my info didn't say 2 words to me, didn't explain anything to me, cut up my debit card, handed me a check. That was it. I was the one that said "thank you" she didn't say "Thank you for being a customer of AFCU, If there is anything we can do for you in the future, Please let us know" This lady needs some training. I won't be back in the future.

  I purchased my first home January 2021 and had the pleasure of working with Chris Lorash. Not only was he very professional and very informative, he was very personable as well. He answered all my questions (that I felt might have been ridiculous at the time) with no hesitation, he also reassured me that my questions were good ones to ask! He definitely made my home buying experience easy and with no stress! I highly recommend Chris to all my friends and family looking to purchase a home! Thank you again Chris, for everything you do!

  Months After Banking At This Location One Of The Tellers Was Very Unprofessional, She Went & Told The Head Banker That I Was Calling Her Names When She Originally Was The One Who Had An Attitude With Me. Then The Head Banker Told Me He Was Closing My Account Over That One Time Ordeal. Called To Get My Original Paperwork & A Supervisor From One Of The Other Atlanta Locations Told Me She Could Only Send Me Copies Of My Original Documents, After They Chose To Close My Account. She Said There Were Rules & Banking Regulations That They Had To Follow & She Couldn't Give Me Back My Original Documents. I Feel These Documents Are My Personal Documents & If They Chose To, I Feel Illegally, Close My Account, Over One Ordeal That Was All Hear Say From One Of The Tellers, They Should Of, By Rights Been Given Back To Me. FYI: Be Careful & Very Aware!

  I love love love Altana! Friendly faces are there as soon as I walk in. They care more about the person and interaction rather than just business and done. Plus I HIGHLY recommend KASASA checking, its FREE regardless if you qualify (by 12 debit card purchases, log into online banking once, and 1 automatic withdrawal) , and if you do qualify you receive ATM fees up to 25$ back into your account AND a some extra additional cash back. Its nice to see this surprise deposit at the end of month. :D

  Excellent place to bank and get a loan. The loan officers tend to genuinely care about you and want what's best for you. They're not interested in just one loan and done. They want to help you with every aspect of your financial well-being. Very refreshing!

  Super Unprofessional staff, can never answer back calls even a week after you leave a voicemail with a callback #. Always in a hurry to take your money but never in a hurry to do anything else
