  Alliance Credit Union attempts a hard inquiry on your credit just to open a checking account. This will show up negatively on credit reports. I was in the middle of opening a checking account online when I got an email from TransUnion notifying me of the attempt. Time to find a bank that does not use hard inquiries for checking accounts.

  Yes, we do use a credit reporting service at account opening to ensure that new members have a solid banking history. As a financial cooperative, we have to protect our members' money.

  As soon covid over I'll be in to close my accounts, just don't offer services at a timely manner like other institutions. Customer service is a joke, treat you like you are bothering them when calling about the account. (CHRIS) Rude not helpful nor didn't want too.

  Staff is great and very personable. Never a long line and moves quickly. Great with first time loans, savings, and mortgages. I recommend them to my family and friends!

  Told us my girlfriend didn't qualify for a small loan but then said they wanted to build a long term business relationship and said they would refinance her car which was 10 times the loan requested.
