  We had an outstanding experience with Kim and Academy Mortgage. Kim was professional, organized, fast, thorough and best of all helped us refinance our home at a better interest rate after failed attempts with other mortgage companies. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Kim and Academy again if we have any future mortgage needs.

  Using Academy Mortgage for our recent real estate purchase of a FL condo was the biggest mistake we ever made and they ever changing, 11th hour documentation requirements nearly cost us the loss of this property. We should have gotten the message that this was a less than honorable and really screwed up organization when the mortgage contact person (aka salesperson) did a "bait and switch' with the rate he told us we would get ... even after he had received all the income and debt documentation he had requested. Unfortunately, we didn't. Throughout the process we found this company extremely difficult to work with ... they would request the same documents over and over again and, yet, never seemed to read what they were sent. They rejected documents because the headers and footers one docs downloaded from a bank or investment company web site were legible because they were "too small." They repeated issued pre-close disclosure statements which were in excess of $20,000 to high (they admitted it was way off) but told us just wire the money to the Title company and when things closed we'd get the excess back; I'm sure everybody has an extra $20,000 that they'll send just to sit around because doesn't do their job right. (This was due to double counting a deposit that needed to be made at closing and I had identified it to them.) And, then to top things off, less than 48 hours before the closing was to occur, they demanded that all funds flow through our bank account rather than a portion coming form an investment firm (apparently dollars are different coming from a bank vs. dollars coming from the sale of shares) and documents to show each step in the transfer process for ordering the sale of shares, liquidating and wiring the cash to the bank, the bank receiving the wire transfer, the bank posting it to my account, the bank wiring the money to the title company and the title company receiving the money from my account! This last maneuver cause us to miss the closing deadline and we needed to get the Sellers to extend the Sales Contract. They reluctantly agree to move it back two business days. Unfortunately, despite having everything they requested, it still took Academy Mortgage nearly an entire day to release the closing documents to the Title company. Our closing was a remote one and, from the beginning, everybody knew it so there was no way to get overnight the documents to us, get them signed, notarized and returned in one business day. Luckily, since there was finally a funded mortgage commitment, we were given another day to close. The stress and frustration caused by using Academy Mortgage was absolute unnecessary and no one else should put themselves through it! Stay away from them.

  Me and my wife is a first time buyer here in West Palm Beach. Our family friend Stella is our Realtor and Kim was in charge of our Mortgage application. Kim and I only talked in the phone if I have a missed paperworks. She was exceptionally nice knowledgeable, considerate amazing person. The Finance Companies almost didn't approve me but she went all above and beyond to go around it. Didn't know how to thank her but I'm highly recommending Academy Mortgage and look for Kim Foglesong.

  Jeff and his team are unbelievable. I have done a few refi’s over the years and hands down this was the easiest process. Not only do they have a great system in place to make everything go and run smoothly they provide so much individual attention it takes away all the headaches of putting an application together. The personal touches they do is way above and beyond what you would normally expect from anyone. Could not recommend them any more. Do yourself a flavor and go with Jeff and his team for any mortgage needs you might have.

This is the second time I use Jeffrey and his team and I can't rave enough about their service. Flawless work in not only financing a home, but refinancing as well. Will never use anyone else in the future. Truly, they are Masters of their craft.
