Isaac Davis1I would give a 0 star review if possible. fraudulent activity happened with my debit card. the card was canceled and a new one issued. retrieving my stolen funds from customer support/ debit card disputes has been a nightmare. Adrian, a so called supervisor within the department, has been less than helpful. I would not recommend doing business here. It's been almost a month now and I'm still trying to retrieve stolen funds. check out their response below. instead of asking me to try again, they could do their jobs and issue the credit that they have stated they would.

Devin Hart1My wife and I have had a terrible experience with Academy Bank. We have hardly ever been able to login to our account online. They make it so difficult. We also had a poor experience when we sought out customer service. They charge for paper statements, which is the only way we can see how much money is in the account.

Evelin Carrasco1I’d give this location itself 5 stars but the overall service of The Actual bank is horrible! My account will show that I have a certain amount of money in it. Days later I’m hit with overdraft fees. They say one thing but I’m seeing the actual amounts and dates change on the App. It’s been really frustrating dealing with this. It’s almost Christmas and I’m -$50. Closing my account in January!

Megan Viera1I would give them 0 if I could. They closed my account for lack of deposit while I had a pending deposit. Then my direct deposit was set up to go in the account and they just didn’t approve or deny the incoming deposit, making me and my 5 children wait almost 2 weeks for money we desperately needed. The employees tried to force my account back open but the management told me to open a new account. I will never have an account with academy again why would highly recommend not risking access to your money by sending it to this joke of a bank

The Caw Manor5I love Academy Bank:)!!! I have my checking account and I was having a problem with my app. I was able to use their chat services to let them know. They were right on it and even gave me instructions on what I was not doing. This is my favorite bank. I recommend Academy Bank to everyone I can. They even got a cash referral program. IKR:)

Mike Barker1I went to my bank which is Academy Bank to open a new account and remove debit card from the old account knowing we were being sent stimulus checks. I didn't want to close the account and cause issues with this. I was told by Academy bank that if they did the 2nd round of checks that it would force my old account back open. After a few weeks and weeks before the new checks were sent, I started questioning this from talking to other people so I waited for almost an hour on hold and was reassured once I finally was able to speak with a representative that I had nothing to worry about. It's my bank so I believed them. I then called to check as they asked me to again last week and they said it hadn't hit the closed account yet. I even made sure they had the correct old account number. I brought up my concern once again and was told this was no problem and no reason to open up the old account then. I was told to follow up in another week so I did that tonight. I found out it did get sent to my old account and Academy rejected the payment because the account was closed. This process took another hour plus. In the end they said that I was basically out of luck and they thought that is how it would happen and they made a mistake. I then go to IRS website and find out that it is all over the site that this will happen. I asked Academy if I took out a loan for $3k and said whoops I made a mistake and cant repay if they would simply say it was a mistake and they said no but I feel this is what happened to me with a bank that I run every dollar I earn through. I now find out that I can try and file something on my tax return but because of my filing status change, I will end up losing most if not all of it. I asked Academy to speak to upper management and was told that I would receive no different answer and then the phone mysteriously disconnected. I can understand if I had done all of this on my own but I did it by Academy's advice and was reassured 3 times I had no concern of this happening and when it happened I got a completely different attitude. The company I work for has hundreds of 5 star reviews. We are human and we make mistakes but we go above and beyond to take care of the customer and exceed their expectations. If we make a mistake - we won't allow our customers to be "out of luck" no matter what the cost is. That is because we do business in a way that is honest, ethical, and to ensure we never receive reviews like this. Btw to be honest this is the first negative review I can ever remember leaving for a company.

Kevin Conquest1They randomly hold mobile deposits every couple months for no rhyme or reason. Representative lied about cancelling mobile deposit so I wasted another hour at a bank. RUN AWAY DON'T DO IT.

Mike Elliott1Still waiting on my stimulus check which was already deposited. Getting a different story from 2 different reps. Found out they’re collecting interest on it for 2-3 business days before they’re going to release it. This is awful I. Theee times holding people’s money like that. Stay far away
