3Rivers Richmond Central Reviews

Kevin Petrowsky1Until they can figure out how to swap their online web payments from merging with another bank (West End) I will rate them better. They have been merged for a month now and I live too far away for this to be a solution. Hopefully they can improve their online user's abilities with paying in another month. I must also say, that the guy that gave me the loan for my car was very rude, after the fact, over the phone when talking to him about the issues I was having.

Tyler P5I write a lot of loans with West End Bank! They are great with our customers. We like the small town service they give us. We can tell they really care about our customers well being! If I ever am having trouble Mr. Jenkins calls my customers directly and takes great care of them! I love having them on my team and couldn't ask for more out of a lender! Thanks you guys for all you do for us!

Kelly Morgan5i have done business with West End Bank for several years. Everything from personal accounts to the loan on a vehicle. I am always amazed as to the simplicity of handling my accounts in the past. It's nice to be greeted with a smile, even at closing time. West End Bank is one of few banks i can honestly say is a Community bank. Thank you for NOT making me feel like just an account number. I would also like to point out the continued involvement in the Richmond and surrounding communities for their contributions to many youth programs.

Beth Newton5I have been a customer at West End Bank for almost 15 years and could not be happier! I love having a hometown bank that knows me as a person and not just an account. West End Bank helped me finance my first vehicle as well as my first home and will always be my go-to bank!

Chasity Cocosmommy1Nothing has gone right since this merge with West End. From giving someone NOT authorized on the account a cash withdrawal, to sending that same person checks they should never have gotten, to not being able to access the app or web login, to not being able to activate debit cards... I'm closing both of my accounts. I don't play with my money that I work hard for and my patience has run out.

Sena Hornsby1The staff is really nice but not exactly helpful. I bought a car 3 months ago and chose this bank to finance through. In these months I have not received a single piece of paperwork on the loan information. We’ve called about it 5 times after today. They keep updating our address because it’s an apartment, like the post office can’t tell the difference between a street number and apartment number. We do receive letters in the mail that they tweaked the address, but no loan paperwork. It’s become absolutely ridiculous that a financial institution can’t get the proper paperwork to their customers in a timely manner. Every time we call they basically tell us that we have a loan and they don’t know why we haven’t received the paperwork.

Kyle McDonough1Paid off my vehicle almost two weeks ago and they haven’t even mailed the title yet. I’m having to turn away buyers for my vehicle because they can’t get their act together. Next week I will be spending my entire day off driving, with a baby, to get my title in person. Worst service ever.
Response from the ownerHi Kyle, We apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced in regard to your title. We'd like to touch base with you in order to expedite sending it to you and save you the drive. Please give our Loan Servicing Department a call at 800.825.3641, option 5, and our team can assist you.

Jamie Williams2West End Bank seemed like a good place when it came to a car loan. However after my car was totaled it took my insurance company a month to get what they needed from the bank and since my payment was due The bank said make a payment or we will give you a late fee.. they didnt want to wait for the insurance company to process the check after we waited a MONTH for them! Emily Kidd is one of there processors and you wont get much from her thats nice. Its all about money nothing about customer service!!!!!!!

Alyse Wenning1What a joke of a bank. We had a car loan with them and consistently paid 40+ payments on time. When hail totaled our car, they were a nightmare to work with. Loan officers were never in, Progressive couldn't get them to return paperwork, and they wouldn't return our calls to them either. We just wanted the matter settled and done. Progressive remitted payment to them for the payoff they stated was due to pay the loan off in full and now, over 2 weeks since they received said payment, West End says we owe more. They told Progressive they won't release the title to them until an additional $25 is paid. Mind you, this is after dragging their feet after giving us the initial payoff (I'm sure to squeeze as much interest out of us as possible) and after we've received our check from Progressive. We'll call and pay them their $25 tomorrow, but I'm going to deter customers away and leave as many negative reviews as I can. I'm an insurance agent (my dad is an agent, my husband is an agent) and we've NEVER encountered anything like this in hundreds of claims from any banks we work with. ETA: The only 'rectifying' they did was take my payment and NOT charge me the $10 ACH fee. We tried to pay with our debit card, but we were told they would only accept a payment made with our checking account. They then informed us that there was a $10 fee to do this. However, they waived that fee. Wooh!

Jack2They get two stars for having a friendly staff. This is the worst bank I have ever done business with. Outdated ATM deposit, a barely functioning mobile deposit with super arbitrary limits that make the whole thing useless to a travelling worker like myself. The app is glitchy and I've had multiple GIANT screwups in my cash flow due to using the app and having it tell me one thing while doing another. I've called and complained about my mobile deposit, was promised it would be raised to 2000, and it never was. When I asked again they said its against the rules to raise it. SO WHY TELL ME OTHERWISE THE FIRST TIME? I'm closing my account here as soon as I'm in town next, I love supporting small business and understand there's some sacrifice to that but West End asks for too much and gives far too little. Very unhappy with my experience, wouldn't recommend to anyone at all.
