  Recently purchased two chainsaws from them and when I attempted to use them the trim saw proceeded to dump oil from the muffler. It's obviously a blown saw and isn't worth repairing much less what I paid for it. The larger saw had a tag saying "runs great"but didn't run at all. It fired once and attempted to run but once it died it was done. Never once seen any fire from it again. I took the saws back to Whitnel outdoors to see if I could be reimbursed or at least get some kind of credit maybe. Was told we can't do anything once they're used. I plainly told exactly what I did in this review. Obviously they never got to be used but as I was told secondly after I told them I never got to use them. And qoate " we don't do or can't do anything after they're sold. We just have to sell why we got". Use caution in what you buy there. They used to not be like this. They would stand behind their merchandise. "Now it's just what you get sometimes" 🤦👀😞

  Called simply looking for a guitar I had pawned a few years back. I was looking to buy it back, within 39 minutes the Broker Addison had already messaged me back with a picture of a guitar that was almost identical to my old one. Same name brand as well. (Ibanez). GREAT Price. He threw in a case and discounted a 15 ft cable as well. Everything works amazing. Highly recommend

  We absolutely love going here, and are frequent shoppers here. The staff is amazing and they always work out great deals for my husband and I. I highly recommend going here, just be prepared to have time to walk through their inventory. We don't normally 'pawn' here so im not sure about those prices.

  Outstanding customer service! These guys really do treat you like family. BUT they are just clueless about electronics, specifically computers. Bought maaaany things there like jewelry, games, tools, etc. and one laptop. They told me the wrong specs (no info was labeled on the laptop) and I couldn't test it out in store (they assured me it worked). Well, it did work but would shut off after a few minutes of being on because of extreme overheating and a bad charger. Just be wary buying any electronics here.

  They will make you great deals on items with fair and reasonable prices! They have a really good jewelry selection, and a variety of other products. The stafff is super nice, helpful and will really work with you.

  This place is a cluster of taste and a maze of narrow isles congested with often disappointed patrons who thought they could pawn a used tube type TV for a couple hundred dollars but instead find done selves doing the walk of shame dragging their worthless 80s era electronics back to their yard sale. There's oodles of tools, lawn mowers, weed eaters, watches, jewelry, cb radios, bow and arrows, shot guns, rifles, and handguns, knives, enough pneumatic drills, sanders, spray painting equipment and staple guns to open your own furniture factory, I've even seen dirt bikes and quads parked on the floor inside along side of kayaks and fishing tackle and all of these items priced at retail as if they were brand new. Overall I love the place, I have never had a bad experience with the establishment and have left there with some pretty decent deals, I have done the unthinkable and pawned a gun or two but always picked them up and got a good chunk of change when pawned. I do recommend Whitnel Outdoorsman over any other pawn shops in Lenoir.

  Wish I could rate 0 stars, never been to a more crooked place in my life. This pawn shop will steal you blind. They change dates on pawns to keep your stuff if they want it so you can't get it back. SUPER ILLEGAL!!

  The nicest people work there, they always help you in anyway they can , just need to be some what cleaner. I heard ppl hate digging to look for tools. A plus is everyday every customer gets a free soda.

  I'm writing this for my friends . I went there with Jake to picked up a buffer, before I purchased it I said "you got somewhere I can try this thing" he said "we test them it's good man" well went to use it doesn't work. Took it in not wanting my money but with hopes to exchange it I really needed a buffer. If I would have needed to put more money with it so be. Instead I was told" the good news is the motors not burned up just something not connecting on the inside". So I took it home and disassembled it. Inspection showed the pinion was wore slick no fixing it. So friends if you buy a tool here know that Working means the motor not a functioning tool. My only conclusion is this pawn shop is not big on repeat customers.

  Bought a 85 ATC250SX here for $900. Was told it ran great just needed a new battery... Got it home and found the CDI box was gone so replaced it due to getting no spark (makes me wonder how they could say it ran) still didnt resolve the issue. So now taking it to a shop to figure it out... Hope the 900 bucks keeps you really comfortable at night. These shylocks wont get another penny from me...
