Wecu Fountain Branch is small, personal & they seem to know me there - more like a small town bank compared to the larger branches. I prefer a credit union that keeps the same employees at the same branch for a long time so I recognize them too

Great neighborhood branch. The drive through is v conveniently located off the guide. My doggo also loves going for the treats.

I’m kinda shocked that this location has such a bad score. I absolutely love and appreciate that they have a location in the neighborhood by our house! Plus, when I go here, it’s faster and I’ve always been treated well. You really can’t ask for more. I do want to say, I’m not super impressed by the way they log and account and show our money. It’s more confusing than it needs to be. I will always choose a credit union over a bank. And so I’ve been with several. Not in Washington. In Utah. So I can say they could show the funds in a better way. Buuuuut..... that’s just my opinion. And who am I??? Lol.

Wecu did an incredibly scummy thing to my family. WECU did a transfer from my sister in law's account to an unrelated account I am on with my husband. This was with zero communication between WECU and anyone on any of these accounts. My husband and his sister are on one account for emergencies. My husband and I are on other accounts together. It is incredibly unethical and wrong that you'd remove funds from the account of a totally separate person to cover MY account, when I have nothing to do with my sister's finances. It clearly would've been very easy for me to just steal from her. How does wecu have the right to make the assumption that it wasn't me, and that I related to the other account in any way? We have one account with thousands of dollars and one with far less and a third person completely unrelated to everything. I cannot believe how wrong that is. If I had been called by WECU, I would have moved money over. Instead you stole from someone I have no financial connection to. Insane. We will be closing our accounts with WECU as soon as we return to Bellingham. After posting this exact review to the Holly branch, I just received a response to a review I left. I have reason to assume that WECU is either lying, or didn't bother to actually read the review I left. The review response claims that you communicated with parties affected. I'd like to point out, again, that I am an affected party, as I am on the account that was overdrawn. I was not contacted in any way. My husband was also not contacted prior to the other account over-drafted by WECU. Furthermore, if the third party affected, Reisa Newmark, had actually been contacted, she would not have called my husband in full panic about money that was stolen from her account. It is completely unfair and unethical that you specifically CAUSED overdrafts from my sister-in-law's account--an account that has nothing to do with ME, and an account that had significantly less money than other accounts my husband and I are on. My husband was contacted about the overdraft and made a promise to pay. He failed to do that. That's his fault. However, I am also on that account, and I received NO calls, emails, or any correspondence. Neither did Reisa Newmark, the person on the account that money was deducted from. Furthermore, my husband and I, who were both on the over-drafted account, have a third WECU account that had thousands of dollars and NO unrelated people. It makes no sense that you made the decision to deduct from an account with no money, rather than our business account that had thousands. You hurt someone by doing that. I'm appalled that the response to my review contained actual blatant lies rather than any effort to make anything right. If you believe that WECU didn't do anything wrong, please let me know the best way to come in and close all 4 of my accounts with WECU.

Edit: Hello Alex, We can see you're frustrated and understand where you're coming from. We'd like to have a conversation with you to help you understand the process we followed and discuss next steps. A manager will be giving you a call. Original Response: Hello Alex, when an account is overdrawn for a significant number of days and is delinquent it is our policy to look at other accounts the member owns to bring the balance current. It looks like we did communicate with parties affected. There may still be options to restructure what has happened but that's the extent we can get into without sharing more personal details in this public space. We encourage you, if you'd like to explore alternative options, to email us at [email protected].
