Dave T (PsychoD)5So I attempted to go with these guys and girls for my home loan chances. Austin was my guy and his team of great professionals. From the very first day of contact with them, they were very patient with me asking many questions and not knowing much. I was walked through each process and all my questions were answered without issue. When I had no idea how to do something, the help they provided was beyond reproach. I got a great rate and a fast turn around on everything and closed quickly. There are many great words for this company and specifically this team. My family and I greatly appreciate the fast closing and the hard work that they put in.

Joseph Nelson5Company itself was excellent to work with. Got an absolute amazing interest rate on our loan. James at the Jacksonville, NC office was awesome. The communication was top notch and answered all of my questions even if I asked them multiple times. The whole process was extremely smooth and surprisingly low stress as I was expecting it to be a nightmare.

Christopher Williams1This company lied about everything. When I called in January to set up the process they said they WOULDN'T pull my credit and they were only using my SSN to request my VA COE Letter. At the end of the call the lady told me I wasn't qualified and someone would reach out to me within 24hrs to review my credit and ways increase my score. That never happened. I went with a mortgage broker who was recommended to me (MC Mortgage Group) and not only did they help get my VA home loan COE, they helped increase my credit score, got me approved with a VA Home Loan, found a location to build my home on and Construction has started all before I got any follow up from Veterans Untied, which just happened today (04/03/2021).

Nathan P1They waste your time by saying your pre-approved for a loan. They send out paperwork to be filled out and the only time you find out you don't qualify is when you call in regards to a document they want you to sign that has inaccurate information. They should probably ask the important questions before wasting peoples time.
Response from the ownerHey Nathan, I'm so sorry we hit a roadblock after preapproval, and I appreciate you giving us a shot to be your lender. We do our best to spot any potential issues as early in the homebuying process as possible. Our goal with preapprovals is to be fast and accurate, so our borrowers can move forward quickly. I'm sorry if we missed something this time. That said, we're constantly improving our processes. If you have any additional feedback, feel free to email us at [email protected] or call 1-800-212-5200. Thanks again, Jerod, Client Relations

Lauryn Abey5I cannot praise Phyllis Gatlin enough. She made buying our first home so easy and stress free. She got us an AMAZING interest rate, called a few times per week just to check in, and always responded within a few hours. She even sent my husband and I a house warming gift. She is seriously the best and I would recommend her to anyone!!!

David J1James Browning has wasted 3 weeks of my life and cost me Thousands of dollars. The VA still offers loans on manufactured homes on a solid foundation. In fact, the home I was purchasing was already financed using a VA loan. James was eager to take down my SS#, run my credit, and collect all documents. He locked me in with a rate of 2.6% that included additional money towards my closing. 10 days before closing he e-mails and says that he had JUST THEN figured out that the home was manufactured, and even though it was de titled and considered real property, VU would not finance the property. Three weeks and James didn't even bother to google the property and see that clearly this was a manufactured home on a permanent foundation. A business that claims to be all about veterans that will not honor a VA loan that is still offered on a manufactured home. Once this happened I looked for different financing only to find out that the lowest rate I can obtain is a full 3%!! with no additional money towards closing. The only way I can keep my 2.6% would be to pay $3000 out of pocket to buy the points down, or otherwise take the higher interest rate which will cost me $10,000 over the life of the loan. at minimum a $3000 mistake because James was too lazy to even google a property he was offering a loan for, and the only thing he could say was " it's out of my hands." Thank you so much for ruining my home purchase. I wish I could give negative stars. GFY.
