  Professional, thorough and efficient. Filed on a Sunday afternoon and received my state refund 4 days later into my bank account. All I have to do is get the documentation together and taxes are done for the year. Thanks Kerry!

  They do my taxes and I did everything the way I was instructed. Now the IRS will be coming after me. I have been going there for 45 years and now any problems are mine. Never go there. There's place that that will see to it that your taxes are done right and filled.

  I will never bring my taxes there again! I brought my taxes there almost 2 months before the tax deadline and received a email from them saying that they had to file a extension because they didn't get them done in time! Then they charged me $200 to do my taxes with no itemized deductions and my property tax.

  Very poor communication. Initial meeting was very rushed.Not very open to questions or discussion. Would not use again. They came referred by my financial advisor. I have let him know about my experience.

  I have had my taxes done at VerBout three years in a row now, but this year was my last. I scheduled my appointment for February 24th (I am confident in this as it was repeated back to me), but when I arrived I was informed that my appointment was actually March 24th. I imagine that since the days of those months are the same, the receptionist either told me or recorded it incorrectly. I will give credit with this situation, however, as my preparer nicely “squeezed me in” so I wouldn’t have to come back. There was an item that needed to be double checked by my preparer, so I left the appointment *already having paid* but waiting on an email of confirmation. I reached out after about 6 weeks and received no response. A week later, I called and left a message with the receptionist and was promised an email by the end of the week. That email never came. After calling again the following week, I finally did reach my preparer who had the answer, but had never emailed me. Overall I have lost confidence in my preparer and this business as a whole. My taxes were done adequately to my knowledge, but I won’t be returning next year.

  Thank you for feedback, Victoria. I apologize for the miscommunication with the appointment dates, but I am happy we were able to accommodate you in February. Unfortunately I do not see any notes on what needed to be checked though if we completed the return and had you pay and sign, it wouldn't have been anything that would jeopardize the accuracy of your return. I do wish we would have been able to discuss this over the phone or at the office to resolve; we appreciate your business and value your input and experience. We are not on Google Reviews to make excuses, we own our mistakes and hope you will give us another chance to earn your business next year. Please reach out if resolution is your goal, we are happy to listen and do better.

  I am absolutely shocked at how poor the customer service was that I just received from Karl. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. I provided all of my documents via their portal. I then, received a call from an office Admin letting me know that my taxes are done. I asked to speak to Karl to ask a man for few questions, being the ONLY direct interaction throughout the process. He said that “he didn’t have time for this” and “that I called him at a bad time.” In fact, they called me two times in 10 minutes out of the blue on a Sunday, where it was me trying you accommodate their time. Karl hung up on me after a short 3 minute phone call and said the was sending my stuff back. Karl is incredibly unprofessional and does not deserve your business. I asked for a total of 5 mints of his direct time and he made that seem unreasonable.

  My husband and I have used Kerry at VerBout for our taxes the last two years and she was incredible to work with. I just had an appointment for my own small business, had to bring my two small kids, and she was the best. She was patient with my kids and showed grace and understanding to me when I really didn't know much about the tax/business side of my creative small business. Highly recommend working with her.
