  We haven't actually stayed in the cabin yet as our trip is in November but Emily at Valle Crucis Log Cabin Rentals was FANTASTIC. She was such a big help when I was making my reservation and having service like that is a huge plus to me. Thank you so much Emily!! Can't wait for our trip.

  My family came to town for a memorial service and we stayed in one of these cabins in Foscoe. I can’t speak for their other properties, obviously, but the one we stayed in showed a distinct lack of appropriate stewardship and authentic care. I get the sense that some out of town family enjoyed this cabin for a few years and has since lost interest, using it now as a cash cow. Please leave some houses for the rest of us, by the way. Scant flat pillows, low quality sheets, outdated appliances/electronics. Musty. Just a general sense of neglect. Superficially “nice” but not actually comfortable. Decor features a lot of moose for some reason (we don’t have those in the High Country but I can see why that’d be confusing to some)

  My fiance and I spent a week at Log Heaven this winter. From our initial contact through check out, staff was very helpful, even keeping us informed of the local weather status for travel safety. The cabin itself was amazing. It was well kept and furnished with everything we could possibly need. We chose Log Heaven for the amenities and they did not disappoint. The peaceful setting was an added bonus. If I were to change one thing, it would be more room to play pool but that would be it! We highly recommend giving Valle Crucis Log Cabin rentals a try. Log Heaven was perfect, location was convenient to hit all of the surrounding areas and prices were reasonable! April 3, 2021 Update... We finally got to return to Valle Crucis and spent the last week at Deer Moments. Jim, Grady, and Amber were all very courteous and helpful. The cabin was well appointed and had breath taking views! We still recommend the town and cabins at Valle Crucis Log Cabin Rentals!

  If I could give zero stars I would. I had to wait 30 minutes at the cabin rental office, because they could not figure out which cabin I was in. Then once we had settled into the cabin, they called to tell us our hot tub was broken. The power went out that night, and we had to call them to figure out if there were any candles or flashlights, there weren't. I realized 43 days after my stay that they hadn't given me back my security deposit, which is supposed to be given back within 45. When I called they told me they were charging me $112 for the dishwasher, because it was clogged. We ran the dishwasher one time, and rinsed the plates off. Honestly, I feel robbed. I hope no one else has the same experience as them. I loved Boone, but I will not be staying with them again.

  Sometimes there are two sides to a story. And sometimes there is no purpose served by trying to refute a person’s perception of events. We understand that we are in a Customer Service business but in this case it seems we were not able to provide that service and we apologize for that. For over 25 years we have successfully served two Masters, our Guests and our Property Owners and as a result hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

  My family and I recently stayed at the apple cove cabin. We loved the cabin and it was beautiful! Our weekend vacation was great and very relaxing. What I did not expect was waking up at home to a voicemail this morning saying that the house keeper was claiming we brought an undisclosed pet and they wanted to charge our card $250. We knew that we were not allowed to bring a pet because I had already told management we would not be bringing any when we paid for everything. We cleaned up the house, washed the towels that were used, made beds, and double checked everything before leaving. The house keeper says they supposedly found dog food in the trash bags that were sitting outside, dog prints on the door, and dog hair everywhere all over the house. After that phone call this morning I don’t think we will be staying again if we are going to be accused of something that isn’t true.

  Recently stayed at Ambleside. Gorgeous house with beautiful views! Little Bavaria is a cute community that is very peaceful but not far away from everything! Valle Crucis Log Cabin Rentals were truly a pleasure to work with. We had one small problem with payment but they fixed everything right away (the problem was not their fault to begin with!). Great place to rent from, would recommend to others for sure and plan on using them for future rentals!

  I did not end up staying with them, but there is a minimum renting age of 25 that I did not find out about until last minute. The pet fee is also $75 per pet despite what it says on the website. I had already given them my card number to book the house before I was made aware of the numerous extra charges and rules that went along with renting. Also, you have to have four wheel drive for most of their properties. Definitely email them before booking anything as you will find out that there is a lot unsaid on the website.

  We've had a couple family reunions bringing family's from MI, FL, and NC and had a great time both times. The cabins were beautiful and the staff was always helpful and accommodating. I'd recommend them to anyone that asks and We plan on using them again next winter.

  My husband and I stay in one of the cabins that Valle Crucis Log Cabin Rentals has every year and sometimes twice a year. They are wonderful to work with and cabins are excellent. I recommend them to everybody because they are there to take care of anything you need.

  We arrived on a Friday afternoon, and the closer we got to the Boone/Valle Crucis area, the smokier it got. Little did we know that there was a huge wildfire, causing code orange air advisories. The owners had no way of knowing, but my significant other is fighting lung cancer, and we were forced to stay inside the first 24 hours we stayed at Apple Cove Cabin. I went back to the office on Saturday to discuss options (the smoke had cleared some since Friday) and the manager on duty basically said there wasn't anything he could do about adjusting the cost of our stay, that the owner would have to do that, and he wouldn't be back in town until the following Monday. No problem, rather than packing up again and going somewhere else, we decided to stay put. Saturday afternoon cleared up enough to sit on the porch for an hour or so (cabin and porch are very nice) and we enjoyed that. I know things like wildfires are an act of nature, and there isn't anything management or the owner could do about that, but maybe a heads up that we're walking into a wildfire smoke area, when we had hoped to get some fresh air, and enjoy some peace and quiet on the beautiful porch with mountains in the background. I think all guests in the future would appreciate a phone call to alert us (regardless of health situations) that there is a code orange air quality warning that was in effect 24 hrs prior to our arrival. We checked out on Sunday, and I dropped of the keys in the office, and told the worker on duty about the issues Friday with the smoke, and being surprised about not getting a call to tell us about the air quality. He didn't have much to say, and I left. I was told by the manager on duty Saturday, that the owner would give me a call on Monday, yet I never heard anything. I called back on Tuesday, only to be told that the man I turned my keys into was the owner, and in fact the person I should have talked to about a partial refund. I replied that he never announced himself as the owner, or I would have spoken to him in person then. The manager then told me the owner would be out of reach until after Thanksgiving, and I should call back next week, to which I replied with my phone number asking the manager to pass along my request to the owner when he returned. I have yet to hear from the owner or manager up to this day, which falls under poor customer service. The cabin itself was very nice, and we would have thought about returning, but the thought of having to deal with management that just seems to be about the almighty $ has turned me off from wanting to return. Disappointed in the lack of communication for sure.
