  If I ever have any issues they are quick to right them. Lee Decker was wonderful in reaching out about a out a loan experience I had with Russ Darrow that went through them. I wish I would have just taken the loan out with UWCU directly.

  I unfortunately had an unpleasant experience with UW-Credit Union while trying to get a mortgage through them. When it came to shopping around for mortgages I found that they had the best rate that any credit union could offer in my area. Everything seemed to be going great at first, until it seemed they did not feel the need to respond to calls or emails. I was very prompt with the things they wanted done for paperwork, but had a fallout of communication it seems. Once they go through approving you for a loan they ask for a $400.00 fee for your appraisal that will go towards your closing costs. Unfortunately after I made my payment they were not very good at responding to emails or your phone calls. My Realtor, Fiance, and Myself were unable to get a prompt responses. After being fed up with a week long of broken phone calls and emails I went else where and got everything done in 45 minutes. I called the manager of the bank and asked for a refund as I was not very happy with my service which was also surprising that he was very bad at responding to phone calls that they would be unable to refund my money since they already purchased the appraisal.. Yet my realtor and myself never got word that anything was purchased or scheduled. This experience was an unfortunate expensive lesson I learned when using UW-Credit Union and would like to just explain my situation to prevent this from happening to someone else. As a word of advice I would look at all other banks and credit unions before coming here because this bank should be a last resort choice.

  We've been working with UW Credit Union for more than 25 years, dealing with about half the branches in the state. I just left the Oshkosh location, after doing a re-fi on the equity l-o-c we have on our mortgage with them. Josh had us in & out in less than 20 minutes. This, after we re-fi'd TWO autos with them this week, where we dropped the rate we were paying with lenders set up through dealers, by 2% and 3% respectively. Those two transactions were done completely on-line, by Linda (likely from Madison). Haven't had a bad experience yet. Great job!

  If you want a credit union that will treat you right... look elsewhere. They have lots of perks - but when there's an issue with your account - they suddenly treat you like a virus. My husband deposited money into my account. 3 days later they removed the money from my account and dipped my account into negative. I found out by a email that simply stated the deposit was rejected. A phone call or a more polite email explaining the situation and what I needed to do to correct it would have been more appropriate. For years I enjoyed the service I relieved until now... when I called - a very abrasive man answered and was very rude. Customer service is definitely something of the past with UW Credit Union!

  The one in Oshkosh is by no means the standard I was accustomed to at the branch in Stevens Point. The branch manager, Matt, in Stevens Point is the best ever, and I dealt with him for 2 years before relocating to Oshkosh. Oshkosh, there is one blond middle aged woman that is very sweet and good, the branch manager, well, I haven't dealt personally with him but I can't say I'm impressed just by observing him, and there is a younger red haired man that is absolutely the worst! One day we walked in to find him jumping over furniture, and he's about mid to late 20s, yeah, the blond should be running it and clean house on the rest. Again, the Oshkosh branch is not the standard...........actually we drive over to Point enough that I try to save my banking till then...........

  UW Credit Union in Oshkosh is the best. The group they have there is always super friendly and great. I wouldn't want to bank anywhere else. Sarah, Admiral, Josh, Alye, Joe are all fantastic. Brad was great too. If you want to feel appreciated and enjoy your banking please stop in and see this group. They are amazing! Not sure of some of the negative reviews on here. Seems like some sour grapes if you ask me but everyone is entitled to an opinion. I highly recommend UWCU in Oshkosh.

  1.5 stars out of 5. Only 1.5 because of the other people in the bank. The bald/short haired lady is really nice and there’s another lady who is fairly nice. However the short haired red headed dude is straight up rude. First off, he looks unapproachable, second off, he is unapproachable, and finally his negative energy flys around when he’s in there, as if he influences all the other workers to have negative energy too. He doesn’t say hello but rather waits for you to approach him and then he doesn’t even greet you properly either. Avoid him at all costs!

  I like the UWCU, especially app functionality. First bad experience was today. Drove quite a way to OshKosh to open acct for my son. I internet shows hours on Saturday open until 1pm. Got there to find its closed on Saturdays during summer. Bummer.

  Everyone was incredibly helpful and super amiable. I came in with an urgent request and Josh, the financial specialist, was very efficient and friendly in helping me I only wish I lived closer to this branch!
