  No surprise USAA is not BBB accredited and only has a 1 Star rating. Sadly, I have been banking with USAA for over 35 years.  Not only banking but home/auto insurance. Today I wanted to check with USAA about redeeming savings bonds, a service they no longer provide.  It took me 52 minutes on the phone speaking to Lola a work from home employee to get that answer.  I asked Lola to elevate my call she placed me on hold.  After 20 minutes on hold I got no response.  I tried to go to my on line account to file a grievance but automated system could only reply to simple question.  I then tried to use the Contact email tool only to be told "Banking" does not have that option. After 35 years I guess the retired military guy needs to select one of the many near by brick/mortar banks.   My spouse just got off the phone with US Bank, he called, immediately spoke to a person.  We were told I can have my name added to the account and redeem my bonds.  That call took less than 5 minutes.  US Bank 10/USAA Bank 0.

  Newer customer for just about a year. Switched from state farm. Some jackwagon put his car in reverse at a red light and backed into me. He had a no name insurance company and surprisingly took the blame..i called USAA to report the accident. Customer service was great. I also had the option of going directly through the other guys insurance or having USAA (at no penalty to me) handle the claim on my behalf. My car was fixed and it was a smooth experience. I couldn't ask for more in this situation.

  They lied to me about payment date . Then canceled my auto insurance. Then told me to pay 78.00 to reinstate my policy. Paid that Then they said they could not reinstate. Must do another policy then tried getting 300.00 from me after deceiving me out of 78.00. I RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE

  For over 10 years I've used USAA. After my account was over drafted they shut it down. No calls, emails or heads up. One overdraft. This is a trash company that I'm embarrassed to be associated with.

  My vehicle was crashed by a USAA policy holder. The driver of my vehicle was stopped and rear ended at an intersection. USAA was advised of the claim and given an estimate. USAA said there would be a check coming in the mail. Several weeks passed and I saw no check. I contacted them directly and was told they were going to total the vehicle and pay a maximum of 5100 no matter what was owed. I owed more money than that on the vehicle and advised them of this. They told me it did not matter and I was also informed they would come take my vehicle as well. I explained to them I need the vehicle and have been paying on the investment for several years. I was then told if I choose to keep the vehicle it will be only paid 4400 for it and I will be given a salvage title and of course the vehicle would remain damaged. I argued they should at least pay the vehicle off or fix it especially since the damage was only 4200 that is less than what they were going to pay any other way. They refused to repair the vehicle or pay it fully off so basically I must lose the vehicle and still owe money after being struck by one of their policy holders and it was deemed his fault he hit another vehicle so hard it smashed it into mine there was a line of traffic stopped. My vehicle is only slightly damaged I've been driving it everyday since the accident and the damage is light and cosmetic only. USAA is a bunch of criminals stealing people's money and not covering the policy holder the way they should.

  Had an auto accident 9 days and still don’t known the status of my claim. I’ve been a member for 64 years and never had such bad service. The only response was 23 emails and 1call last week. Frustrated.

  Liars, was charged for a vehicle THEY put on my policy without my permission. So I asked ok can I pay the bill on the app once I cancel and three people said yes... surprise! I can’t!!

  Their customer service is the worst, their could not have been more pressure from the representative and it wasn’t even their sales department. Horrible completely horrible

  Great insurance especially for military, but very expensive.
