Garrett Poorman5We were blessed to stumble upon Mark Wendler at US Mortgages to help with our mortgage loan!! From start to finish Mark was completely sound, and was always there if we had a question, needed advice, etc. Unlike most mortgage lenders Mark was always very positive and willing to help regardless of how tough your case may be. He is completely on point all the time and will get your loan done as fast as possible. We plan on using Mark in the future and highly recommend him for anyone looking to buy a home. If your looking for the best loan officer and have your loan completed in no time ask for Mark Wendler. He won’t let you down. Guaranteed.

Sue Garrity1If I could rate them as minus 5star I think I would. The service I have received is so unsatisfactory that if they treated everybody like this they would be out of business. It has been like a 3 ring circus for 6 months. Maybe I’m wrong but the loan officer? that started the process with the loan application should monitor the transaction or “team” should know the status. I started this process in Jan and after not hearing from anybody for quite awhile I requested a status update on May 17. He had no idea and would check with the processor and she would get an update. May 18 he said my loan was in a “holding pattern” and the processor would get an update from underwriting. At that point I was very clear that it is time to get loan approval with conditions if necessary or disapprove the loan so I can move on. Of course I’ve not heard anything. To add insult to injury on May26 I get an email from US Mortgage Happy Half Year Anniversary! This is so messed up I’m trying to refinance and apparently the loan Officer? Personal Mortgage Advisor thinks I already have.

Bob O'Day5After trying three other mortgage brokers, we found George at US Mortgages. We had unusual circumstances that none of the others could help me with. He found me an asset only purchase loan using my retirement account and came through when no one else could. US Mortgages and George were very professional all the way through the process. What a great experience!

Allegra Braasch5We have had a lot of loans from a lot of companies over the years, but none compare to how amazing George Hager at US Mortgages was!! He went above and beyond for us and made it his goal to keep us informed almost to the minute! Great job! We will definitely recommend you!

Irene Vasquez5George Hager at US Mortgages has been extremely helpful and successful both times I have called on him for a refinance. I called a few other companies before reaching George and non could get the job done and they were very bad at even getting back to let me know. Right from the get-go George handled my requests and processed everything in a very professional manner. I have bought several properties over the years and used many mortgage companies simply because I wasn’t completely satisfied with previous mortgage companies. I have since refi’d two of my properties using US Mortgages and George being my broker. I will never change companies; he/they sold me on their service. You will not be disappointed in George @ US Mortgages. p.s. the processing team is great as well.

Marshall5George Hager did a excellent job with our loan purchase. He was highly knowledgeable, transparent about the process, and was always working steps ahead to ensure our closing went smoothly. He is also a great guy to work with. My wife and I strongly recommend him.

Ron Alberts1I only wish we could give poor performing companies like this one negative stars. US Mortgage is not a mortgage company at all. They are nothing more than a broker. They do not have in house underwriting nor any relationship with one. My experience was the worst I have EVER been through. I could write a book on the trials and tribulations of dealing with this unscrupulous company. They lied several times regarding loan approval and continuously ask for information they already had. Even after the “official “ loan approval, they came back time after time for more information. They actually held us hostage stating that even though they approved the loan, the would not actually fund the loan without this additional information. There were three realtors involved in this transaction, and all three of them have black listed this firm. They won’t even deal with a customer who selects this firm as their mortgage company. In addition, they even accused me of possible money laundering because they did not understand that I transferred money from an investment account to my savings account so I would have the money to close. This, despite the fact that they had all the information on the transactions. I even tried to call David S (owner of the company) to try to help. He did not even have the courtesy to return my call. Great example of their customer service. Bottom line, if you are considering this company for a mortgage, I strongly recommend you rethink your selection before it is too late. Ron
Response from the ownerMr. Alberts, we;'re terribly sorry to hear that you had a less than positive experience with us and for that we are truly sorry. However, the "conditional approval" means that you are approved as long as the additional information required from underwriting supports the conditions for you to receive a final loan approval. This should have been made more clear in our communication. As for the verification of funds, this is not a requirement of US Mortgages but a requirement of the US government, specifically the Patriot Act. If you would still like to speak with US regarding your experience you can email us at [email protected] and one of our managers will be happy to hear more about your experience.

Jordan Thomas5Dave McKune was absolutely amazing to work with during the mortgage process. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and quick to respond to any questions we had, making what could have been an exhausting and stressful process streamlined and easy. We cannot recommend him enough, and would work with him again in a heartbeat!

Donna T1I was the co-borrower on a loan request from US Mortgages and I felt that the experience was completely unsatisfactory on many levels. For the sake of brevity, I will address only three issues here: the lengthy process, unprofessional rudeness to our real estate agent, and a request from the owner of US Mortgages for my husband and I to begin dismantling our IRAs, a request which ultimately proved to be unnecessary. The application process was so lengthy that deadlines on earnest money, the appraisal, and multiple closing dates with the sellers went by the wayside. The sellers patiently waited while the weeks went by, but when the owner of US Mortgages extended the “clear to close” (yet again) to the 31st of December, the sellers balked and would only accept an extension to the 23rd of December. Our real estate agent did the only thing she could do to keep the sellers onboard and extended the closing to the 23rd in the hope that US Mortgages might somehow come through for us. The owner of US Mortgages sent what I consider to be a very rude and unprofessional email to our real estate agent. Some of the words in the email were all in upper case letters which normally indicates someone is shouting and he threatened to quit working on our loan unless the agent got an agreement for the 31st! Needless to say, both the 23rd deadline and the 31st deadline came and went. Next we were told by the owner of US Mortgages that in order to satisfy HUD concerning the debt to income ratio and to get a “clear to close”, my husband and I would have to start making a specific, large monthly disbursement from our IRAs. We would need to set this up immediately and provide a letter from our mutual fund representative stating that we had done so. Despite the fact that this would have major capital gains tax consequences for us, we jumped through this new hoop as well. It was interesting that the US Mortgages owner stated the following in an email to the borrower “…as you and I both know they can change the amount of how much they take at any time we just need to show they have requested this and the (mutual fund name deleted) rep acknowledged it”. I felt very uncomfortable when I read it because it seemed to me like a shady suggestion on the owner’s part! Ultimately the loan was denied on January 2nd (which was yet another closing day) in part because HUD said we didn’t have a two-year history of making IRA disbursements. I personally think that the owner of a mortgage company who has a long history of working in lending would know that you have to have a two year history of disbursements! We ended up scrambling to undo the disbursements. Fortunately, on the same day that we were denied a loan by US Mortgages, the borrowers and my husband and I as co-borrowers started the loan process with a local credit union. Everyone at the credit union was cordial and professional. Our real estate agent stood by us. The sellers were patient yet again. We were provided with two loan options to choose from and neither involved IRA distributions. Within 3 weeks from start to finish we had our loan and closed on the house!

Tricia Engelbert5After having a terrible experience with Evolve Bank, in which they completely dropped the ball on my loan, putting $12K in earnest money in the line, and causing our closing to be delayed SIX times, I called US Mortgages in a panic. George Hager answered the phone and literally became our knight in shining armor. He and his boss Dave (the guy you hear on the radio; HE IS REAL) worked incredibly hard to put our loan package together in record time in order to make our closing happen. George and Dave turned one of the worst and most stressful events in our lives into one of our most amazing and proud moments. Thank you for fighting so hard for us!!!
