Same scam different institution. Came to read the reviews and looks like I'm sharing the same experience. Will charge invalid fees and take their sweet time removing them when you dispute. If you need to use them keep all your documents/ info and watch them like a hawk. They get visibly upset when you ask for documentation.

      Response from the owner

Laura, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We sincerely apologize for your poor experience with us. For issues or questions regarding disputed fees and documentation, please work directly with our loan department by calling 816-325-6900. We'll do everything we can to resolve this. Kind regards, United Consumers Credit Union

Very slow and not very helpful! They should give instructions to those coming from other credit unions on what forms to fill, what are the withdrawals limits, and etc. I had to be told every singles step after doing a task and sending it back to me through the tube. Will not recommeend. Glad they are not my credit union!!!

      Response from the owner

Cruz, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We’ll use it to review our procedures. We sincerely apologize that we did not meet your expectations for using a shared branch. Kind regards, United Consumers Credit Union

Had to dispute a charge because they are the most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. I get a million apologies but they still say they can't do anything to help me even though they know it's their fault. So now I have to fight them over a charge they overdrafted my bank account. Stay away from this credit union, very unprofessional and they don't care about their customers at all.

      Response from the owner

Joshua, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We sincerely apologize for your inconvenience and have thoroughly investigated the situation. Please call our Accounting Manager Joshua Lyday at 816-521-4188 to discuss this further. Kinds regards, United Consumers Credit Union

It's unfortunate that the tellers there are as unconcerned as they are. They make absolutely little to no effort to do anything extra. Tried for the 4th month in a row to make my car payment there (*they are a sister CU to my CU in Lawrence) terrible attitudes, & a different excuse or reason every single time why they can't "post my payment" , I then have to mail it in the end (because the phone pay is $20) Today it was "sorry, can't post your payment ma'am, it looks like your CU has locked your account. Came home, called my CU..... nope. No lock. She says "there isn't any reason she shouldn't be able to do it???" I'm over it. I had considered opening an account there just so I could make payments easier. You expect funky attitudes from young people maybe cooking fries! But a grown woman in an air conditioned environment protected behind glass!? I won't result to name calling and insults. They have to live with themselves, not me.. .

Garbage business. Very unprofessional, I have a great credit score and have worked with over 5 banks, this is by far the worst. Completely unresponsive handling my auto loan, delaying my process. Ended up going to Mazuma and had a great experience, I recommend you look that way. Not sure how they are still in business. Byron was who never answered my voicemail. You may have better luck with another representative.

Switched to United Consumers Credit Union several years back from Bank of America. Best switch I could have made. I have not come across a single person I have not liked and who didn't do there best to help me from either branch I have been to. Sue Manley is absolutely amazing and I would and do refer her to anyone. This place helped me get a car loan when no one else would and they are now helping me purchase my first home.

Attempted to open communications for a HELOC with Kimball Johnson and left a voicemail. Did not receive a return phone call for over a week. I called a second, third and fourth time, requesting anyone other than Kimball or the previous person they had transferred to because NO ONE ANSWERED THEIR PHONES THERE. I was beginning to think it was some shell company for the Mob with no actual employees. I finally spoke with Ronny in the St. Joe branch and she was friendly and helpful, but the lack of offering an online application is a turn-off. I don't want to take off work to submit an application. It's the year 2015, get with the times. Kimball finally called me back after leaving a second message and seemed more than a little disinterested. I had to provide answers to questions he wasn't asking and he lacked any basic customer service skills. Definitely not someone I want to work with OR have managing any part of my finances. I will be taking our business elsewhere for sure.

I've been banking with them for far too long. They'll put holds on your account and not call to verify, leaving you to call them when you at the register making a purchase. Terrible.

      Response from the owner

I have been going to drive throughs for close to 50 years and the 63rd sheet branch is the slowest I have ever been through. I was in line for 30 minutes and there was only one car in the lane I was in. This is rediculous!! I know that you guys need to be accurate but you can do that and get people through quicker than this.
