  I banked with Essex for years and it was always a pleasure. United took over and they switched my account to a plan that took 10 dollars a month from me. They told me they made the desicion to move my account to the best fitting account. It just so happens it worked out best for them. They refused to return the money they stole from me. I closed my account the day after I found out. What a shame they chose the plan and flat out stole my money. Wish Essex was still around. They were good people

  Plain and simple..I miss Essex Bank Bank. This bank branch is not as friendly and informative as the previous branch. I will not continue to bank with them in 2022. If you are a small business owner..please bank elsewhere.

  I was with Wells Fargo for a few years and they did not work with me with any kind of credit line or credit card for my business. Since starting with Essex they opened up a credit line, credit cards and home equity line with no problem. They are top notch on working with small businesses.

  Wow what an experience went through the drive-thru today to withdraw some money ask if they could give us the last 2 months of the statements for refinance on their mortgage we have over $10,000 in our savings account because they charge us $2 to get the copies

  The staff is really friendly but their ATM has not been working after 5 pm for a month now. Not sure what that is about.
