TF Farrow3The time to get a simple deposit or withdrawal is quite long..even if only 1 car in front of you... there is new employees that are quite slow, thankfully there is still a couple employee's that are their from the previous and numerous name changed bank... so kudos to them, for if you happen to stop in while they are their, they are awesome and efficient..otherwise try to do online banking, it's worked great for me.. and saved me a long drive and longer wait..

Anne Coppersmith1I think the banking practices for mortgage lending here may be illegal or at least very sketchy. After four months of being strung along my nephew, Justin Wherle, finally gave up and went elsewhere. He had a twenty percent down payment but then after four months the lender said he needed forty percent. As a young father who works for Spencer yachts for many years and a wife who is a preschool teacher at St Elizabeth’s and whose father is a well known builder in the OBX they were treated like scum. Of course he could not come up with another twenty percent overnight. They made it a degrading experience which was entirely unnecessary. This is not a community minded bank, don’t waste your time here. Obviously they did not want to give them the loan even though they did everything that was asked of them, and they knew their financial situation from day one. That is why they wanted to increase the down payment. Yes they have a good credit history also.

Beth Howell1While the customer care representatives are friendly, they are far from helpful. It sounds like they have not been given the tools to do their jobs successfully. This switch was fairly easy until they sent my husbands debit card to an address that has not been on file for 3 years. I received EVERYTHING else at the correct address but my husband has not had access to our banks account in a month. He has spoken with them directly, sent in the appropriate paperwork, and as of today it has still not been sent out, nor has our old address been removed from the account. Their fix for this problem is for me to drive 8 hours to their closest office to pick up a new card. Their answer for closing my account is to spend every last penny in my account and then send in a letter to with a copy of my ID to close it, yet they could not answer me if I would be charged a service fee for having a $0 balance during the time that it would take for them to receive the letter!? Come on! Just give me my money back...I gave you the benefit of the doubt and you failed.

Bobbie Lake1Horrible banking experience. Customer Service wait time exceeds 60 minutes. Call Center phone line disconnects when you opt for debit card assistance. Online banking access denied after repeated attempts to login. First South Bank customers treated the worst. I expect to see many close accounts and move to another bank that is customer friendly. Would not invest in this company for the short or long term. They should be investigated. Suggest reporting them to someone to have banking practices reviewed.

The building where I've been banking has changed several times over the years, this one has delayed access to deposited checks, month long or more waits for new debit cards, and durring the pandemic have the nerve to charge me a 40$ overdraft fee while I'm struggling financially.....Dont BANK HERE!

Renee Cahoon1Crescom had plenty of time to have a seamless transition after acquiring First South Bank. They did nothing to make it happen. No access to online banking, wait time of 60 minutes, not allowing calls to local branch but re-directing again to a 60 minute wait. No reply ever made to email inquiries. The total lack of customer service by crescom is appalling. The peope that work in local former first south branches are great and they are the ones trying to put on a a good face for Crescom but you cannot put lipstick on a pig. Crescom does not have the slightest idea of the definition of customer service.

Mark Lamb5I don't know why negative reviews. My customer service is the best ever. My experience is that they have been awesome with any requests I have ever made. Sure, only been a customer for three years, but so far awesome.
