They limit the monthly maximum payment so you have to eat the cost of interest on your loan. Even if you want to pay off the balance, they make you physically come in to a branch to do that, a simple problem that could be solved with using your phone to do it at the comfort of your home. Its the 21st century and they still make you come into a branch. Not recommended banking with them!

“I can help you! We can refinance your auto loan and give you cash and instead of a 5.99% (in the fine print…nearly increase it to 17%) …please sign on the dotted line and we’ll take care of it! A “great” institution would seek for what’s best for the customer. Be an advocate we can trust and believe “has our back” This bank definitely has the potential to “be more” I’m at a crossroads right now…either waiting to pay off my auto loan and personal loan or transfer to another institution “that actually cares” I can’t even get assistance opening a checking account there. However, within the past year, the agents that work there have been seriously “ruining their name” They have been careless, disloyal and a disservice to the customers. Retrain or rehire is what I would suggest.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have had. I purchased a car from a member here and paid off the loan. They then sent the title to me with the previous owner info on it. I went to the credit union to get it resolved. Cierra was assisting me and she did not have any desire to fix the situation. She had me talk to someone in her title department and started writing notes to a colleague about how I had been in there twice. Pretty sad when someone is looking for help and someone only wants to act put out and unhelpful. I am very glad I don’t bank here.

If I could give them a zero I would have. I will keep my account with them but will no longer service this branch. Totally unprofessional to have a TIME-SENSITIVE WIRE over 10K totally forgotten. After numerous times explaining yesterday morning to the teller that I need to have confirmation on this wire yesterday. She told me that latest it would be wired is by 3pm and she would call and confirm that it was sent. Waited all day still nothing....today I have to wait to call at 8 a.m. only to find out the branch opens at 9 a.m. Jordan(I believe) explains that she will look into it 2 hours later she finally calls back because (according to her they are slammed) I asked numerous times to speak with Branch manager Chelsea to no avail. She tells me that unfortunately the teller yesterday forgot to send it but that it is now sent. I tell her that is very unproffessional and terrible she agrees and tell me the branch manager will contact me. AWESOME meanwhile I'll pay the late fee for my 10K wire that was forgotten. Great Job Draper Branch!!!

Good service no matter what time I call. Even if it's 3 minutes before they close. I haven't had a bad member of this Credit Union service me yet. I might add that I've user it for several years now. My most recent call was with Bob, he was very helpful for finding information when I was slightly off on the numbers for a certain check I was looking for. They always ask good security questions if I do any over the phone banking and are always friendly. I believe I will be banking here for many many more years to come.

I have been a member since 1992. Have had many auto loans and always my experiences have been great. Awesome customer service with all of my banking. Sorry about the guy who had trouble getting his car title, but sometimes you might want to go into a branch and talk to a manager. They Will resolve your problem.

      Response from the owner

Thank you Carol for all of your kind words! We are always looking to improve the credit union and are glad that you have had a great experience over the years! -David S. University Federal Credit Union

Sorry to leave a review for a branch i've never visited, but trying to get in touch with a human during normal operaring hours is a joke with this place. They promote online chat which you can never find on the website and they phone menu just takes you in an infinite loop. Regretting letting the auto guy talk me into getting a loan through this place.

I had gone into the Draper location to do a simple transaction. Well, what I thought was simple. I ended up being passed onto the branch manager, her name was Veronica Legaspy. She was utterly rude and spiteful as I expressed my frustrations as I was intending to do a simple deposit. As I was walking out of the Draper location, I had overheard this woman talking to her employees about how I was making a "big deal" out of nothing and continuing to express some over the top feelings she had about me. Due to poor customer service and the amount of unprofessional ism I have experienced at this location, I will no longer be banking with them. I would advise future members to be aware of the non-sense that is considered "professional" here. They are so called "member service" based but I have received just the opposite. I walked away feeling disrespected, undervalued, and ridiculed for expressing my frustrations. Again, University Credit Union does not value their members and their member's experience.

By far, one of the absolutely worst banking/credit union institutions i have ever dealt with. And I've been through a Wells Fargo membership. I hope you can appreciate the gravity of that statement. Ok David. I've submitted a more rounded explanation of the issues I've faced while being a member. Let me know if you need further elucidation.

      Response from the owner

Worst experience ever. I recently purchased a 2016 Corolla and financed through this credit union. I decided to pay off the car loan in its entirety pretty fast, so about 5 months ago I was all paid up. I asked how I would receive my title and they said they would send it in the mail in a few weeks. A month goes by and no title. I call them to find out what's going on and they say that they are still waiting to receive the title from the dealership. Ok, thats fine I guess, I can wait a little while longer. Four more months go by! I call them back to figure out what the heck is going on and they tell me the same thing, the dealership has not sent them the title. I tell them its been 5 months so they agree to dig a little deeper. It turns out that instead of sending my title to me, they sold it to another credit union! Are you kidding me. Now they have no way to get the title for me and tell me that I will have to do all the leg work with tracking it down. They can't even provide me a contact number for the credit union they sold it to. Just a name. Oh, and they sold it when it had a $0.00 balance on the title. That makes a ton of sense... So currently I am on hold with this other credit union who is trying to track down my title. It's been about 20 minutes now where I have been on hold while they look, so i figured now is as good a time as any to write a review on University Federal Credit Union. Do not do business with them! They make a mistake and won't even work to correct it. They just leave you on your own to deal with it. They won't even
