Truist at Gulf Breeze have earned my trusts and the manager and the team deserve 5 stars. My personal experience is always the branch and the manager and the team. I have used at least 7 banks, and my relationship with branches have been totally different from branch to branch even in the same bank. Truist in Gulf Breeze is an amazing branch. Derek and the team are very helpful and provide very satisfied services. Derek even went beyond and above to make sure I get my business bank card on time. this is the quality of service customers deserve - they are true customer oriented. Unfortunately you don't see this very often across all the banks in US. It was a very random opportunity that made us decided to use this Truist. We originally plan to use Wells Fargo, because it is a big national bank, has so many itemized services. One day we walked in Wells Fargo and asked for a very small service for the business, and they said no to the request. We knew they can do it, cause we got the service done before at a different Wells Fargo branch. So we left and drove by Truist, and thought let's see if we can get the service done here. They were very happy to help us get it done. after that they asked what else they can do for us. Yes, we said, we would like to open a business account. And since then, we have always get great qualities of service. Customer relationship is very important and this Truist has done a great job. you never know the person who walks in your door can become your customer.

I received an insurance check to fix my vehicle - the person who hit my vehicle had their insurance send the check through Suntrust bank. Upon driving an hour to the Suntrust in Gulf Breeze because the Suntrust banks in Pensacola area would not honor the check and sent us to their Tiger Point location I brought various forms of ID because unfortunately all I had was my driver license and an expired passport, I brought my title to the car that the very insurance check was made for, I brought a verified document proving my name and drivers license were valid, all of which were denied as forms of ID, okay. I was told go to the DMV and get another identification card which now has cost me time and money. Thinking I have all the forms that I was told to cumulate I drive an hour once again to Tiger Point Suntrust to only be told “we do not have enough cash on hand to cash your check” “I’m sorry I told you I would work with you on the identification but I will have to send you to the Milton location where they will not work with you on the identification” So now in summary I am being told Tiger Point location “will work with me on my forms of ID (which are hard enough to acquire during this pandemic) but we do not have enough money on hand to cash my check” But the Milton location “has enough cash on hand but will not take my forms of ID” (the very forms I was just told to get from the Tiger Point location) My wife sitting next to me has had enough of being ran around town spending time, gas and money for nothing. So she suggest “I will open an account with Suntrust and deposit the check so that they don’t have to worry about using their cash” The Teller Brooke says “the cash is for clients” okay. So upon requesting to open an account we are told “This money will not be available for use for a few days and that she is concerned we are trying to deposit the money and take it right out” Well, now, let me think, it’s our money we received for an accident we did not cause from an insurance company trying to pay for damages to our vehicle. So, yes, we have every right to that money, let alone receiving this money in a timely and convenient manner. Unfortunately Suntrust does not see our insurance check as valuable and made us feel that we were being racially profiled as this entire experience was made to be extremely difficult and time consuming. When we told them we did not want to bank with them after this experience but only needed the money owed to us, made out to their bank; the entire demeanor shifted. Discourteous, cavalier, and precarious - the nicest way I am able to put my experience with this bank.

Hey Holly, thanks for sharing the review of the service I provided not to you but to your boyfriend. You unfortunately misrepresented the situation so let me just clear up a few things. One, the Pensacola branches were temporarily closed due to COViD. They did not refuse to honor your check. Two, your friend brought an expired passport and no acceptable form of secondary ID the first time I met him. Feeling empathy for his situation I suggested he get a FL ID and come back and I would try and work with him. Three, he waited more than a week to come back, and due to unforeseen circumstances we no longer had cash on hand to negotiate it for him. Four, I went out of my way to make phone calls and try to help your friend to no avail. I at no time treated him with anything less than empathy and professionalism. I appreciate your review, however, it has taught me a valuable lesson. I should’ve informed him of our ID policy and turned him away politely from the get go. If trying to help someone is going to result in accusations of racial profiling...I’ll be going strictly by the policy from here on out. Fun fact for you and your friend- a bank is required to honor a valid check not required to cash it. In the future I suggest you take it to your bank. Side note- if you want friendly professional service come see me and our team at Tiger Point! 😀

I had a good experience with the bank when I made a wire transfer, but when they were made aware of a mistake they made, they didn't help me, they blamed me and it cost me $130.00. I already pay Suntrust enough banking fees. I will not stop using Suntrust, but I would never go to the Tiger Point branch again.

I went SunTrust Tiger Point this morning to assist a real estate client. I met with branch manager Mark Kabacinski, who was most helpful and understanding of our problem. He went above and beyond to help us! If you are in the Tiger Point and need a good banking institution, I would highly recommend Mark and his team. Excellent Service!

I just have to warn people that the phone "customer service representatives" have no customer service skills. I just experienced the worst banking experience in my life with their company wire department. They do not care about your money or you and I can not stress enough do not give them control of your money!!

I just wanted to give a profound thank you to Brooke and her team for helping me. I am with USAA and I needed to break some cash last minute before heading overseas. No other bank in town was willing to assist me. Thank you for seeing the human side of things. You guys are amazing.
