Angela Stewart5We rarely go inside the bank. Maybe once a year if that. But we needed to deposit a large check for our roof. Small staff 2 working and 1 sitting in an office. It was a good visit. I did notice that the desk outside which we have sat at for various things through the years seemed like it was not in use anymore. I don't know if it is due to a loss in staff or change in how they do business. I do hope they do not lose the personal customer contact that we have experienced in our over 30 years. I would hate to change banks because they rely on computers over great employees. Employees make the business an asset, computers are merely tools. Computers can be hacked, good employees can uncover a scam. You can always get a computer you can't always get good employees.

J M1Well the buyout of SunTrust really went well We have not received our new debit cards and when I tried to call and the answering computer did not recognize my identification numbers or my account number finally after entering my account number (all of it incl back routing number ) it decided I was entitled to their vast options menu which takes you through several sub menus then starts back over. After much desperation and agitation it said my call will be answered by the next available person I hope then it said wait time is over 1 hour. I guess if they prevent me from banking with them I will go in and close accounts and go across the street to one of 9 other banks in the area. It's scary that a financial institution is so inept and incapable

Nicole Velez1I’ve been banking here for some years now have never had an issue until today. I went thru the drive they today today deposit a 559.00 check I don’t need the cash so rather deposit it. The lady literally took my check and ID and had me sit there to 10mins while she let other cars go. I called her out on it cause clearly if I have you my bank card signed check and said only need deposit that’s all she should’ve done and let me go. Well no I sat there while she took new cars in my face then tells me oh there will be a hold n this check. I’m calling corporate to see if this lady is discriminating because why would a 559 check from CarMax be on hold so long until April 6th and I have over 7k in my checking account so doesn’t make sense to me.

Denise Shumaker4Thank you the Sam Ridley branch! I was the victim of a terrible scam!!The bank rep helped me cancel a Zelle transaction to a scammer!!My advice to you is dont seek rentals from Trulia or Zillow. Theses are the most unsecure sites. For rentals absolutely! Especially single family home rentals. Anyone can pose as anyone on these sites. Owners if houses. Houses listed 3 times at different prices!!!Watch oyr!!!!!!

Nicholas Smart3Don’t get me wrong the people here are really nice on Sam Ridley, Mr. Bob was really cool until he left, and the women treat me very nice, but I hate this bank service! It just does not get the job done! I’m finally banking somewhere else after 10 years. It’s time to move on! Here you really have to have some serious money here to keep your account updated and stay in the positive! Other than that I didn’t have any other problems. Thanks for everything!

Steven Blair1I recently moved to Smyrna a year ago knowing that my favorite bank is right down the street from me. I can say with out question that the Samridly pkwy bank is absolutely the worst service ever in the banking industry. I have attempted to deposit checks on 5 occasions and no occasion has taken less then 1hr to simply deposit a check. On 3 occasions the "system was down". On 1 other occasion they had a single tellar working that was a little crazy so there where 20 cars in the drive thru and about 15 people in line waiting. And today Dec. 21. 2018 the teller was so polite and friendly she was talking for no less then 20 to 30 min each person in line as they where doing business. Which led to a line of about 10 people. You can only imagine how long of a wait it is just to do something that takes only 2 min to do like deposit money or make withdraw. I am seriously thinking about switching banks just because I do not have all day to spend at the bank. I'm a business owner and I have a very tight schedule. I do not have time to wait on my bank to tell life stories to each and every person they meet. Do your damn job and move on. It's a simple concept. I have been banking with Suntrust bank for well over a decade and have never had any problems with them at all. I have used them in FL, Utah, NJ, NY and all over TN with quick responsive service. I am really disappointed in the Sam Ridley location. There are 4 other banks right next to each other. I think I will go to one of then.

Neurotica Stand5Easy breezy. SunTrust always makes everything a piece of cake while keeping everything secure & safe. Most banks are full of Stiffs in suits that can't smile or thier face will crack. SunTrust at all locations is really pretty amazing. They MADE the time to sit and talk to my 18 year old son about his options financially for his future. They always work with me and are kind even if I look like I just rolled out of bed and am a hot mess. I'm saying good people/service is hard to find. SunTrust Bank at all locations so far has been a real blessing of real great people.

Kathy Bowlin5Carl Reider has assisted my husband and I with numerous transactions. He has treated us with the highest standards of professionalism, courtesy, and customer service. He makes us feel like we are his only customers. He works at the Sam Ridley location in Smyrna TN. We have also banked with Suntrust when we lived in Alexandria VA. They, too, were superlative to deal with.

Troy Ball1I have had a checking account with Suntrust Bank since 1992. Many Suntrust branches in the local Smyrna, TN area (including neighboring LaVergne, TN) have been closed (permanently). Currently, the one main branch in Smyrna, TN, on Sam Ridley PKWY., has recently adjusted their business hours from 9am till 4 pm M-T and Friday till 6... These 'lobby' hours also include 'drive-thru window' transactions. Local branch locations closing --- The one main branch for the area limiting their hours of availability --- And try calling their customer service and 'wade thru' the prompts for automated service get personal help from a live representative.... Why would anyone "trust" this institution with their money? They're close to the 'chopping block' with me. Meanwhile, right down the road Ascend Federal Credit Union has just opened a new branch. Their weekday hours are being advertised as M-F 8 till 6 and also Saturday hours as well. May be shopping for a new banking institution very soon..
