  I have to say, I was very skeptical/intimidated about going into a pawn shop, and I rarely write reviews. I felt compelled to write this, because of the unexpected service I experienced today. A friend of mine who has done business with Joseph for several years recommended I go see him. I recently lost my job(two months ago), so I decided to take my friends advice. From the bottom of my heart, I can't think Joseph enough. I was embarrassed upon walking in, because of the situation I am currently in, but after a couple minutes of speaking with Joseph, he truly put me at ease. I have a fairly large diamond that was passed down to me, and I really didn't want to sell it, because of sentimental reasons. Joseph explained the loan process to me, and gave me a great interest rate. Since I have never done this before, I didn't know if the rate was that great or not, but I needed the money, so I really had no choice. Later that day, I made a couple calls to other pawn shops, and was sincerely surprised at how fairly Joseph treated me, especially as someone who has never done this before. His rate was definitely the best. While I hope to be out of this situation soon, I would have no hesitation in recommending Joseph and doing business with him again in the future. The level of compassion he showed me during this embarrassing situation is a testament to his character. From the very bottom of my heart, Thank you Joseph!

  I've always been the sterotypical shopper and thought pawn shops were full of junk. Joseph and The Silver Dollar Pawn Shop changed my impression on the industry. These guys are very knowledgeable in diamonds, fine jewelry, gold, and coins. Joseph was able to save me thousands and had the same quality has the retail shops such as ShaneCo. Silver Dollar offers a little bit of everything, and has a nice selection of electronics. Would highly recommend this to anyone, and will be shopping with them again!

  Not your typical pawn shop. Very clean/ classy shop. Joseph the owner is very friendly. Prices on products are more than fair. I've been frequenting this shop for a few years now. Drive 30 minutes to see them.

  These folks are very friendly and helpful. This is a family owned business. They used to own Cherokee Pawn right up the street. I was sad to see them go, came to find that they own and operate this establishment. So much better regarding service and rates as well. Go see these guys, you won't regret it.

  I had a firearm sent to SDP since they were listed as an FFL necessary to receive a firearm ordered online. The company I ordered the rifle from forgot to sent their info to necessitate the transaction, so I was prepared to go home with nothing, disappointed that I rushed over to get new gun. Even though I arrived 15 minutes before they closed, the owner went out of his way to contact the company, have them email the info they forgot in the first place, and stay late after there was a slight delay in the background check. As someone who delivers excellent service daily in a high-end industry, I was thrilled to witness the type of service that I strive to give. These guys are 1st class and shatter the stereotypical pawn shop. EXCELLENT service, thanks so much!!

  The people are very friendly and helpful. They usually have quite a selection of items such as jewelry, gold coins, and firearms available. And FFL transfers are only $15. Highly recommend Silver Dollar Pawn.

  Had a great experience picking up a firearm there I purchased on Gunbroker. Very fast transfer and cleanest pawn shop I’ve ever been to.

  Working with the team at Silver Dollar was refreshing as they were polite, knowledgeable and most importantly honest. They brought in experts from outside the area to properly assess the value on a collectable I was trying to sell ultimately steering me towards an auction house which he said would result in more cash then he could offer me - THANKS JOE for steering me in what was the right direction for me, not your bottom line.

  Ok, I have what I call an issue with talking to much. And I really love the process of exploration and discovery. So when I go into a pawn shop, I'm like a kid in a candy store trying to mentally work out the stories from all the items that are there... Well, the time I had here today not only made money for both silver Dollar pawn and myself, it also enriched my education and made my day. Very interesting selection of collectibles of value, et al. Two thumbs up.
