  Several years ago a mutual friend, whose mother is in real estate, emphatically recommended speaking with Dan O'Kavage regarding a mortgage refinance my wife and I were interested in. It was clear from our initial conversation (which occurred after business hours b/c I wasn't available to speak with him before the end of my workday), that Dan was more than just 'a mortgage guy'. He offered insight into the markets which drive the interest rates and suggested ways to efficiently use the anticipated mortgage refinance savings towards paying down some other obligations my wife and I had. For reasons completely NOT related to Dan, we missed the window of opportunity to lock in a viable rate at the time. However, we kept in periodic contact with Dan over the next couple of years, and when rates dropped to year-long lows a few months ago, we picked up with Dan again. As before, Dan was fantastic to work with, truly passionate about what he does. We discussed some additional behind the scenes mechanisms and he offered some excellent recommendations on using the refinance savings and cash-out funds to our best medium/long term advantage. Closing occurred right on time and with no hitches whatsoever. A special shout-out to Monica @ Capital Title Agency, who Dan had conduct the closing and who was an absolute pleasure to meet and work with. We wholeheartedly recommend Dan and the O'Kavage Group for any and all mortgage considerations. His enthusiasm for his work, deep experience in the field and dedication to offering his clients what will best benefit them and their unique situation, cannot be matched.

  We just refinanced our house in Charleston, SC through Daniel. Every step of the way he was extremely knowledgeable and always responsive to any questions we had. He locked us in at the perfect time and gave us polite nudges whenever we were lacking on items he needed to keep the ball rolling.   My girlfriend and I are new homeowners. Dan was recommended to us through a close friend, and we couldn't be happier. He is extremely detailed when he talks and makes it so easy to understand. He helped us save a lot on closing costs and was able to get us approved very fast. He even came to the closing and went over every signature and page with us. We will definitely use Dan for our next home or to refinance our current one.

  I've used Dan twice now and every time it was a pleasant experience. Someone like me only buys a house one or two times a lifetime, Dan does this every day and his knowledge is extremely valuable. Just talk to him for 5 minutes to decide. Might be the smartest phone call you can make.

  There are a lot of details to buying a house, and even more so when you need to sell a house in order to buy a house. Dan is very thorough and does everything he can to make the process seamless. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again or recommend him to a friend. Nothing but the best!

  The most knowledgeable mortgage broker I have ever spoken to. I purchased my second house with Dan and have refinanced once as well. Any time I have a real estate financial question, Dan is always happy to get on the phone and review all of the details with me. He always asks intelligent questions. On multiple occasions he has brought up things I never would have considered on my own. Dan always goes the extra mile to make sure he is doing the best thing for his clients.

  Dan is the consummate professional. He works very hard to get you the best product for your situation. Full of integrity and never tries to sell you. He gives you his honest perspective and will even advise you if a product is in your best interest or not. He is my "go-to" concerning all mortgages and re-financing. You will need no one else. Excellent service.
