  We have worked with the Kaplan Team twice, when we bought our house and when we refinanced. Our finances are a little complex because I am self-employed, but Shawn and the folks at Kaplan knew exactly what they were doing and it was a painless, streamlined process both times. For our refinance they got us an incredibly low rate, and we’re now saving $400 a month - that’s pretty awesome. Buying/refi-ing a home is probably the biggest financial transaction of your life. Don’t leave it to some faceless internet company who couldn’t care less about you. The folks at Kaplan know your name, they’re honest, they pick up the phone when you call and they take all the stress out of the process. I wouldn’t use anybody else.

  The Kaplan team was good about quick response time and answering questions. This was my first home purchase so I had quite a few questions. The one thing that brought my review from 5 to 4 stars is that the Kaplan team does mortgages all the time and I don’t- There were a couple times were I was told to have a copy of a check after the check had already been cleared and was out of my possession. If I was told beforehand to get copies of certain things, this would have been a 5 star review. The Kaplan team is personable and knowledgeable nonetheless. Overall a great team to work with if you’re new to mortgages!
