Tendto Credit Union Reviews

Cady Dowlen1This place is HORRIBLE! Worst customer service. No one ever picks up the phones, there is voice-mail boxes for every extension, that are always full. I switched my bank due to this exact reason. I don't know what this banks issue is, but they are horrible to deal with.
Response from the ownerHi Cady. I am sorry to hear that you are unable to connect with a Tendto team member. Unfortunately, we are experiencing higher than normal call volumes at the moment due to our debit card conversion. At Tendto, we are always happy to talk things through. If you would like a team member to call you, please provide a good phone number. Thank you.

Woody1Never answer calls, rarely call back but when they do they almost never leave an extention to call then it's back to trying to get someone to call back again. On the rare occasions you can talk to someone they are very friendly though so that's a plus.

John Henry1Still the same issues we’ve always faced before they changed to TendTo, they never answer the phone. Imagine being a bank and never answering the phone, pathetic lack of profession and that’s coming from an 18 year old.

Sharon Slike4The office has been a big help in a number of matters where I needed their help in resolving. The tellers are friendly, efficient and willing to help in any way they are able to resolve matters of importance to regarding my account with TendTo.

Christine Lorraine5This credit union was very helpful to my son when he was setting up his checking account. Other places would not give him much respect because he was young and just starting out, but everyone at the credit union at W. 21st and Pittsburgh Avenue went out of their way to be kind.

Sam Sayers1ECC holds our auto loan. They have been completely impossible to work with in the simple task of setting up an auto-payment. They never answer their phones, refuse to communicate with eachother on what the caller's issue might be, constantly are putting customers on hold or hanging up on them, and refusing to listen to the caller. I have been trying to set up an auto payment for 2 months now. Good luck trying to work with them if you are out of town- they only operate by snail mail and phone calls, which they never return. I deeply wish we had gone elsewhere.

FootballMom#41Only getting 1 star because I can't give anything lower than that. The only thing they can get right is my phone number. I have had an auto loan here since June 2015. They never sent any payment books/stubs. They can't manage automatic withdrawals for my loan payments either. I shouldn't have to sign up every other month...defeats the purpose of convenience, so I make payments in person. On AT LEAST 5 different occasions (all different employees) I was given INCORRECT account number. They couldn't get on the same page if loan account ends with -00 or -01 or -1. Because of incorrect account number, my loan payments sat in a savings account (that they created when loan began) while I was getting delinquent notices and phone calls. (In 2015 or 2016?) Today I took a $331.00 check to deposit in LOAN account. The teller informs me that she must deposit the check into my savings account & my savings account has a NEGATIVE balance. I have never used this savings account EXCEPT when they screwed up the account numbers, so technically THEY used the savings account. They couldn't answer me why (or when) the account had a negative balance either. She then tells me that negative balance is $4.86 and that she can only apply $226.00 to my loan. I tell her that's bad math and she says "$226 plus $5 equals $331. No, it doesn't. So she then says she'll be right back. I'm guessing everyone had a get together to determine that $226 plus $5 does NOT equal $331. She sends the receipts out...UGH!!! She applied $226 to my loan payment and deposits $105 in the savings account THAT I DON'T USE. I press the call button and I must have interrupted some inner drive thru business because I was made to feel like "oh, what does she want now?" Needless to say, I had to question why only $226 was applied to my loan when it should have been $326 (having a $331 check to deposit and being that supposedly my savings account was overdrawn $4.86). I guess it's straightened out now. I'm honestly not even sure if it is or not. I'd post pictures of all the transaction receipts I left with today but there's too much information on them. Now I wonder how many times they've "lost" my money to another or someone else's account. I can't wait until this loan is paid off...the loan will most likely last longer than the vehicle will. In almost 3 years, it's obvious I've hardly made a dent in the loan...and when I got the loan, I had another vehicle loan through Erie Federal Credit Union & at the time my credit score was above 700. My advise...STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM ERIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION/TENDTO or whatever they're calling themselves these days. Go to Erie Federal Credit Union...been with them for over 5 years & NO complaints.
