TD Bank Reviews

Stephen Bergman1I wouldn’t recommend this bank to anyone who thinks they may get old. They were very difficult to deal with in accepting my power of attorney status for my elderly father. Then when he passed away they wouldn’t accept his death certificate or my letter of representative status for his estate unless I hand delivered those documents to them in person. I now have to fly from Colorado just to deliver these documents for them. All other banks accept these documents electronically via email or through standard mail. I don’t know what their problem is. I would recommend another bank like Mutual One, or Bank of America that has embraced modern technology when it comes to document delivery.

May Smith1Stopped by this local branch for some issues related to a checking account opened online. Online customer service agent asked me to go to a local branch to finish all the identify verification and such... I came to this branch which is 3 minutes away from my house. I was the only customer in the lobby; A young guy at the counter was on the phone with someone. A young lady was behind the counter and also on the phone. There was another woman sitting in an office guarded by glasses and looking at her computer. After waiting in the lobby for at least 5 minutes, the young lady behind the counter finally came to me and asked how I could be helped. I explained to her what was going on and she went to the woman in the corner office. The young lady asked that woman if she could help me. Like many other banks, they usually set up small offices for bank associates to help customers with checking accounts. By her accent, that woman is not a native speaker, but neither am I. The young lady told me to wait for that woman for a couple of minutes, and then that woman came out and said one more minute. Instead of helping me, she went to get the young guy at the counter to help me. I am not sure what was actually going on there, but that woman seemed to be very rude when she came out and told me to wait for another minute. I am pretty sure she is supposed to help customers' with checking's account. Hmm, how could such an unprofessional person be hired into TD Bank? I am not sure if I actually want to keep this checking account with TD Bank now.
