  Tellers are friendly. But I honestly dont know what they are doing when they're working the drive thru. It will be slow and there will be no cars at all and they take forever. Some of us are on our lunch breaks and we dont have all day. I'm sorry if this sounds rude but its frustrating

  Absolutely the worst bank I’ve ever used. Not sure if it was the transition from new buffalo savings or if tcu is just normally a terrible bank to use. Never get your money when you’re supposed to because there is rarely anyone to talk to when some anomaly occurs and your money is suspended in cyber world somewhere because they are closed or no one is there. Avoid banking with this institution to avoid recurring technical issues with receiving your funds.

Without knowing more about where the funds that are deposited in your account are coming from, I can't speak as to why there would be such a delay in their arrival. But we always strive to be available to our members when there's a problem. Our branch hours are consistent with other financial institutions, our lobbies are now fully open (with mask and social distancing protocols in place) and our Member Services team is available via online chat and by phone at (800) 552-4745 from 7 am to 7 pm weekdays and 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays.   TCU has a 5% fractional reserve banking rate currently. every 100 dollars you deposit they lend out $95 and keep $5 in your name.... on top of that they charge you if something just bounces from your account. They have charged me twice now for drawing from my wrong account and charging me for this.

  Hi, Mitchell. I needed to do a little research before I responded, so my apologies for the delay. According to our records, the fees associated with these attempted transactions were refunded as soon as they were reviewed by our team. The two charges occurred because the company involved in the transactions had inaccurate information for the specific account from which they were attempting to transfer. The company apparently tried to make the transfer twice and it was denied both times. For security reasons, we are not allowed to alter incoming electronic transfer requests. If you have not contacted the company to update/correct your account information, we strongly encourage you to do so. To your other point, TCU manages members' assets with their best interest in mind while providing quality loan products to meet member demands. The fractional reserve banking rate to which you refer is a standard practice among financial institutions and was in no way related to the account transfer issue you experienced. Thank you!
