  I literally could not have had a better experience than I had working with Don Rizzo. He made every step of the process simple and clear, answered all of my questions (and I had lots), and he made the experience of buying a house nothing but positive! I highly recommend working with Don and his team at Sun Mortgage. They are the best.

  This was my first time buying a home that was being built from scratch. I had only rented apartments/townhomes in the past, so starting the mortgage process was very overwhelming to both my wife and I. We were so lucky blessed to have found Don Rizzo and the rest of the great staff at Sun Mortgage. Right from the beginning Don was so personable and knowledgeable it put us both at ease. The home took about a year to completed and that was harrowing enough but the last few months were at the height of the COVID outbreak so it really got hairy during that time. Banks were so nervous about lending because of the economic downturn but Don and his crew stayed on top of it all and were always available through emails, texts and believe me, you’re not going to find a more genuinely caring person than Don. He got back to more than a few times over the weekend and even during his vacation and never said anything about the times my wife and I both called him different days about the same topics. We were dealing at the same time with the builders mortgage company and they are complete douches. Don always stayed professional and just kept being supportive through it all. I cannot say enough great things about Don, as a person as well as a broker as he guided my family through the biggest financial decision of our lives and made it all bearable. Now that I’m inside and living in my beautiful new home I always say to my wife at least once a week, we couldn’t have don’t it without Don.

Don was exceptionally thorough and always made himself available for the 10,000 questions we had.   When I contacted Sun Mortgage, I didn’t know what to expect. This home was my first home purchase and it was an extremely daunting task. Matt called me, and from the beginning made the process easier and more understandable. Matt worked with me day and night to get my mortgage. The process was complicated, and we ran into a few bumps, but Matt was always there to lift my spirits and help me through. I cannot stress enough how amazing he is and how grateful I am for the time and effort he put into helping me. I will definitely recommend him to all my friends/family.   Don Rizzo was great to work with. My fiance and I purchased our first home and had several mishaps along the way, from signing our contract to nearly closing time. However, Don made this process seem seamless from his end. Obtaining a mortgage was the easiest part of this process, because Don consistently communicated every steop along the way. He also demonstrated a great deal of attention to us as customers, and emphasized a sense of urgency in getting things done as efficiently and timely as possible. Don was also the only other stakeholder, besides ourselves, that showed to be highly invested in our home buying process. He was an advocate for us which is greatly appreciated, because we were unfamiliar with all the steps involved since we were first time buyers. We are so thankful for having gone the route of opting to work with Don. Whenever we upgrade to our next home, we will make it a point to make sure to work with Don again. We highly recommend Don without hesitation.

  Don was amazing!! He helped me get a loan for my first home. He was very professional, knowledgeable and patient. He walked me through the whole process step by step. Which being a first time home buyer I great appreciated. He made my experience pleasant and stress free. I would recommend him to all my friends and family.

  I recently got my first mortgage through sun mortgage. I never dealt with something like this and it was completely out of my field. In dealing with Don I not only learned a bunch of valuable information on mortgages, I also felt comfortable in trusting him with something as important as that. From start to finish he always was available to take my calls and thoroughly answer any questions I had. Most of the leg work was done by him and took a lot of stress off my shoulders. The rates he was able to get me were better than all competitors. I also needed to close quick and he was able to make it happen. If I ever need another mortgage or anyone I know does, sun mortgage is the way I would go.

  Don and his team made sure that my home purchase in Manhattan went smoothly. Because it was a co-op, there are many rules and processes that needed to play out at once. He made sure that everything was done in a timely manner, managing communications with multiple parties all while getting me the best rate I could find. Happy to say that Don and his team helped me close by the deadline. I highly recommend Don because of his vast experience, timely approach, and professionalism. Trust me, you want this guy in your corner.

  We loved working with Don! As all of the other reviews say - Don is very professional and knowledgeable but is also human. Every interaction I had with Don was pleasant - I never asked him a question he didn't have the answer for - he was just excellent in every way. Put all of my trust in Don and his team and he executed every step of the way while also keeping me informed and ensuring I understood where we were headed. Totally smooth and enjoyable process - highly recommend Don and his team.

  Don was very patient with our requests - we literally called him four or five times in one day for updated preapproval letters. He handled it with patience and professionalism. He also responded very fast- an extremely good attribute in real estate business. Sometimes within hours you can miss a good deal. I would highly recommend Don for your investment and residential needs!
