Ronald Morone1They do not have a fraud department. I had fraud on my account several days ago and I’m the one who has to contact the vendor that used my account to tell them there was a fraudulent activity on my account and to reverse the debit. Now I have to apply to get my money back. Still no money. So your money is not safe at this credit union. Get your money into a bank that will fight for your money when it gets stolen.

In the case of hotels charges, we do require that members contact the hotel first because it may be a case of not showing up or a cancellation. Once the member contacted the merchant, we were able to give a provisional credit.

J1Poor service before the pandemic, as well as after, but I like how they’re using that as an excuse. Poor rates: cds, loans, savings etc. Loans rates can easily be beat by other institutions. Antiquated system. No access to your funds and everything is done by mail. Most of the time I tried signing online the system was down or updating and again this was long before the pandemic and it was all the time. Including bill pay, which a lot of people don’t know, paper check sent by mail. No other financial institutions does this. Get your money out as fast as you can and put them out of business. They don’t appreciate loyalty so stop being loyal. 22 yr old account… closed… and good riddance.

Nathaniel Gonzalez1When I started with them 4 years ago they were great. Something has changed within the past year. They no longer want business accounts. ( I am a small business owner), they have shrunk debit card limits to $1000 a day for all types of accounts, you have to call to get a raise but they only have phone hours between 10-3 Monday-Friday and they have said that will be shortened again, they offer little to no services or help for customers/members, and the biggest issue that I just ran into Myself and a few other Members have noticed that about 9% of our balances have been disappearing each week. No one seems to want to investigate, or tell us why, we already pay monthly fees, and according to our TOS and Bylaws there aren't supposed to be any other fees. I just pulled all my funds, personal and business and am switching to a larger bank.

Terry Kunde5My wife and I have been doing business with Sun Credit Union for 30 years. The staff has always been kind, professional and very helpful with all our banking needs. Lynn has helped me many times with paperwork and has answered all my questions. Francis has helped me numerous times with my credit cards. Sun Credit Union has given my wife and I better service than the "big banks" and we can't say enough good things about them. We love the sun at the beach and we love our Sun Credit Union.😎

Alexandria Cox2I was a member for a couple years and lately they have dropped the ball. The point of credit unions is the community banking experience. The lower APR's and not being just a number and risk to them. I'm not saying they should be crazy with their lending practices but if i wanted automated risk management I would go to a normal bank for a loan. Even at a regular bank walking in with a high credit score means reasonable terms. Long story short I had a great deal on a car due to a friend's connection. I have a great credit score but because they refused to do simple research they were trying to force me to put 50% down. Then when i provided them with the research it was 30% down was the best they could do. I went to another credit union showed them my credit score and the car they wanted and they approved me for more than my car deal at a better apr no money down with longer terms and were able to help me get the credit card i wanted so i could consolidate under one low apr. I cashed out my account at sun the next day.

Sharrice Lane5Woww!!! First of all, i have purchased 3 vehicles in my lifetime, in which the time to purchase vehicles took anywhere from 3 days to a week because of the back and forth between finance, car dealer, and myself. But when i tell you of the seamless process provided by the the Reps from the Sun Credit Union was uber amazing, i am not over exaggerating! I spoke to Shirley about my current auto situation (this speaks to her OUTSTANDING customer service and client relationship building) and she took my information back with her and within minutes Ms. Nancy and Daniel offered me three different viable options! Three!!! I thought about it, took him up on the third offer, which was a new vehicle. I decided to go to the referred dealer on a Saturday - The Credit Union is closed on the weekend. Nevertheless, i went to the dealer, saw the car i liked (i had saw it online before going) and within 3 hours, i went home in my new car!!! How did i get the financing if the credit union is closed? The referred dealer had Ms. Nancy's number and called her on a Saturday to get my financing secured! Paperwork was emailed to me the following business day and i emailed back. Didn't even have to go to the credit union! I'd say the whole process took less than 24-hours - heck, probably only 4 hours combined. The longest part was at the dealer! Everyone needs a financing team like Shirley, Daniel, and Ms. Nancy. Also, shout out to Ms. Dana, Shirley's manager for dropping some knowledge in passing! From the dealer, shout out to Ms. Deborah the car sales rep and Lloyd, the finance mgr at the dealer for their prompt and efficient efforts!!! I am thoroughly and pleasantly satisfied with the outcome and with my car! Oh, and everyone from the Sun Credit union even from the dealer reached out to check on me and my new car! I look forward to our continued relationship! Get with Sun Credit Union! They will go above and beyond to help you achieve your dreams!

Jeff Messett5I helped my 6 year old open up his first bank account here. They have a great kids program that helps incentivize saving. They match 0.01 per $1 for the kids to buy a toy. The location has very neighborly feel with a lot of smiling faces. They offer other financial services as well. The car loan programs stood out as well as the on site free coin counter. Worth checking out!

Rushel3An outside atm is needed, if you have cash or need to deposit cash outside business hours you can’t make an deposit...and when the bank is open you have to join a line to deposit or withdraw funds from the teller than doing it yourself at a atm. Having an atm outside will be valuable to the company as it will provide better convenience to the customers.
