  If you're still considering your favorite bank or credit union step back and reconsider. The professionals at Summit Funding, most notably James Michael Black [Group] are the people you NEED to service your purchase or refinance. I was referred to Summit by a friend and my first meeting was much more than I expected. From the moment I stepped into the reception I knew this experience was different from the banks (JPMorganChase) and credit unions (USAA & NavyFCU) I had previously visited. Mike Black took his time to learn about me, my financial goals, and expectations of my home purchase. He advised me on home purchase prices, asked worthwhile questions, and addressed any concerns tactfully. By the end of our meeting I felt Summit Funding was partnering with me to purchase a home. I no longer felt like a SSN or Credit Score. I am confident every team member worked earnestly to ensure my purchase went smoothly. From that first meeting to my closing date I was not let down. I received emails, text messages, and phone calls with updates. Summit Funding also has a SECURE & user friendly online portal for uploading sensitive documents and forms. I felt safe sending them required documents electronically and appreciated their efforts to streamline the home buying process. I had the absolute WORST experience securing a closing date due to my purchase being a short sale. The James Michael Group ensured I knew every single update, received last minute paperwork, and stayed one step ahead of what the seller's bank/investors could possibly want. Because of their industry experience, professionalism, positive communication, and commitment to customer service, I only had to be patient in my short sale purchase. There was never a need to panic. Stomi's (loan manager) requests ensured I never had to worry about missing paperwork or last minute requests from the seller. Each step of the way, Summit was prepared and eager to assist me in closing on the property I wanted. At closing, there were no issues or hangups. My funds were just about immediately available. The final closing disclosures very nearly matched my original disclosures. I was not left scrambling at the last minute to secure another cashier's check for closing costs. I heard so many horror stories about closings being long and drawn out. It simply didn't happen to me. My purchase was undoubtedly, more complicated than other home purchases as it was a short sale. If Summit could stun me with their service in my purchase, I am positive they can make your dreams come true in a more traditional purchase. When the time comes for a new purchase Summit will be my only call. I will recommend them to all serious friends and family for any home purchase or refinance.

  Summit funding is bar none above the rest of the mortgage lenders that have I worked with. I've been an attorney for over 18 years and worked with literally hundreds of lenders. August Schuller takes time out to explain in detail every part of the process and makes sure that everyone is comfortable proceeding with the transaction prior to commitment. In the past I have never felt comfortable recommending a lender to my clients . Going forward I will only recommend August Schuller at Summit Funding for all my clients needs. If you are serious about obtaining financing and don't want to waste time I recommend you contact August directly.

  My husband and I had a great experience working with Summit Funding. We were first time home buyers and pretty clueless as to the loan application process. Luckily, we were referred to Tim Murphy. Tim is professional yet approachable and so easy to work with. He even went out of his way to meet with my husband and I at a time and place that worked for us. Even at our closing, the seller's lawyer and broker commented on how organized and efficient Tim was. I highly recommend Tim and Summit Funding.

  Buying a house is always very stressful, but working with Summit Funding made it all a little easier. The office was great at keeping me updated on my application, loan process and closing. This was my first time buying a house and they answered each and every question I had during the process. Highly recommend working with them on any project!
