Not one to write many reviews, but had an occasion which prompted me to look up STCU and saw reviews. I was a bit surprised to see how "low" they were. To be honest, I didn't read the "low" reviews, as I didn't want to taint mine. What led up to me looking STCU up Was a problem logging in online. It's been frustrating to me, but, it's my own fault and I got to give them kudos for protecting themselves and us. I have been with the Post Falls Branch for at least 10 years. I am pretty critical I'm pretty pickyl, and I got to stay they have done a pretty dang good job with customer service and explaining everything. I'm going to read the reviews after this but I'm guessing it's just one or two people or construction or I don't know something. We did just do I refinance and and that person wasn't overly nice had an edge, however that was the best deal. Otherwise the have been more than Pleasant and helpful. Thank you

I typically don’t write reviews. But my experience today was enough to come on here and do one. My mom and I arrived at 11am on a Monday and there was a long line of people waiting. Only 3 tellers running the counters and all of the loan officers were busy. After waiting 15 minutes in line to check in for a loan officer to refinance our car loan. We are just now getting back with our loan officer after an hour of waiting after being checked in. I think their scheduling needs to be more appropriate to meet business needs.

      Response from the owner

Oh no! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, Danielle. We apologize for the wait, we are uncharacteristically busy today and just welcomed two new employees to our Post Falls team. We value our member's time and try to help them as quickly as possible. We'll be sure to pass your staffing recommendation onto our Post Falls Branch and Leadership Team.

STCU is great. It’s a membership credit union, so they do maintain requirements to join. Switched here after the “big national banks” failed us and left town. STCU staff is great and always helpful.

      Response from the owner

      Thanks for your review!

i usually never write a review. But i thought people ought to know that except for a few good employees the NEW manager is a terrible person. After rudely being addressed about a small matter i told her i should just take my business elsewhere. She said that was fine without hesitation. Ive been coming here for years Never had a problem one at this branch and everyone knows me. Ill be either using the drive through from now on or using the Rathdrum branch where everyone is cool ESPECIALLY the manager Suzanne coolest lady every!!!.

      Response from the owner

We asked that they are leashed, as one of our biggest priorities is to ensure the safety and security of our employees and our members. This is the worst banking in the northern west area. I mean this with all my heart. You can not trust this company at all. Very 👎! So many huge problems with these guys... Mountain West Bank is the best. WARNING! Don't get any account here!

      Response from the owner

Hi Austin, Sorry to hear about your frustrations. If you’d like to share any specific feedback, please feel free to email us at [email protected]. We’ll pass along your concerns to our Leadership Team.

I have been a member of STCU for over two years. I opened an account here because of the terrible customer service and multiple undisclosed "user fee" issues on my "free" account with my bank. I was in college at the time and I ended up questioning (grilling I won't lie - like I said bad experience) for about a half hour with one of the managers(?) Until a bit after closing. Never once did they get upset with me about my hesitation and even helped me open an account that day even though it was after hours. I have yet to have a bad experience there.

      Response from the owner

Wow. What can we say but "thank you"? We SO appreciate you taking the time to leave us this review, and we will be sure to let the team know about your appreciation. Thank you for being one of our member-owners, and you are welcome to grill us about your questions any time!

Called Thursday 9/9 for a new debit card (I live in New York currently) and they had it at my door this morning 9/13, super thankful for the help and sense of urgency.

      Response from the owner

Glad we were able to help! Thanks for your review, Corena.

STCU has been very helpful! When my card number got stolen, they printed a new one for me right there and transferred all of my funds over to the new card automatically! The only issue I've had with them is the drive thru can be pretty slow (multiple locations), but if you plan for it you'll be fine. The tellers are very polite and courteous and many of them have a contagious positivity that can brighten your day, despite the wait. My parents and my grandparents have been using STCU for years.

      Response from the owner

Thank you so much, Katie! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review, and for the kudos! We would love to hear more about the drive-through issues you've had so we can work to improve the wait time. If you're willing to share, just send us an email to [email protected] with what locations you've had long waits at and we'll get back to you ASAP. Again, thank you!

2 Problems. Hours. Open on Saturday even for a few hours. People are working and don't have time to handle their finances, on a lunch break. Weekend call center. Please give those people more power than what they have. I set up a password for my phone and needed to change it because I only used it once, about 6 months ago and forgot. Locked out of my account.... but if you were open... they wouldn't need that. Other than that, thanks for everything else, always friendly service.

      Response from the owner

Hi Keith, and thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review and let us know what your concerns are. While we are not open weekends, STCU does fully participate in shared branching. That means that you can use one of our partner credit union branches, such as Global CU, to access your accounts on the weekends surcharge free. We will also look into why the after hours call center was not able to help you with your password. If you would like us to follow up with you, please send us an email at [email protected] and we will be sure to get back to you. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and for being one of our member owners!

I went and opened an account about a week ago and the person who did it (shawna I think) was excellent and answered any questions I had and I was in and out of the place in less than 20 minutes. I also really like the fact I got my debit card right away. Keep up the good work everyone! :D

      Response from the owner

Thanks for the compliment, Chase! More importantly, thank you for choosing STCU and becoming a member. Please let us know if you have any questions! We'll be sure to pass along your note to the Post Falls Branch team.
