South Towns Community Federal Credit Union Reviews

David Freitus1Staff are not helpful and are not friendly at all. I opened an account and they bounced my first withdrawal despite having enough money in my account leading to fees from the bank and my credit card for a declined payment. For a brand new customer you should just tell them you need to leave $5 in your account, you can't use your total balance to pay a bill. I setup this bill payment right in front of them when I opened my account and they just let me do it. Then they charged me $35 for not letting me spend my total balance of $75. Which I did have in the account. I didn't spend more than what was in the account, I just tried to deposit money and pay a bill with that I deposited. They did reverse the fee, but they acted like they were doing me some huge favor. My credit card still charged me $30 for a returned payment. I was at the bank at 9:15 trying to stop all of that from happening but it was too late. I'm very disappointed at the whole situation, and I am a brand new customer and this was my very first transaction, the day after I opened my account. The bank staff just repeated back bank policy and were completely disinterested in having me leave satisfied. Unless you're in desperate need of a bank account, consider going somewhere else.

TRACY RUSSELL1Been trying to call all day and speak to someone. Phone Says they are open till 4, went there at 1230 to make a deposit, door says drive thru only went to drive thru, waited 5 mins, hit call button no one there. Had to leave my deposit in the drop off and still hasn’t been deposited as of 330pm same day!! On biggest shopping day of year and can’t get a hold of your bank is sad!

J Nash1The staff are NOT that friendly. I can recall the last 3 times (my husband has also experienced it) I've been there I got to the window and looked at the teller waiting to see if there would be some kind of greeting this time.......NOPE!! Just "account #". Their hours are not customer friendly, only employee friendly. The drive thru is a complete joke!! You have to write notes because there is no window......I am attempting to move away from this establishment but it's not easy because we've been with this FCU for so long and have everything Tied to this account but I am determined to get away!!

Matt4Friendly staff and well managed. This credit union, however, does not offer online services similar to many large financial institutions.
