  If you are worried about not being able to refinance due to debt, or high debt-to-income ratio, or that your current interest rate isn't THAT high... Do yourself a favor and give John a call. You will likely be surprised how beneficial a refinance can be right now. If you don't ask, you'll never know what you're missing! John and Sheila have been FANTASTIC to work with! I actually have a finance team that I use and love, but tried John and Sheila based off of a recommendation from my best friend. I couldn't be more thrilled from start to finish. They customized my home refinance based off of my specific goal, which was 2-fold. Cash out and reduce my interest rate for lower monthly payments. Everything worked out better than I had expected, and i will end 2020 debt free AND be saving money over the life of the new loan.   John and his team at Sound Financial are great to work with. They are quick to respond via phone and email, and will genuinely work in your best interest! I have worked with them twice now on an initial mortgage and a rate refinance, and have been exceptionally pleased both times! I will go back again for any future mortgage changes.

  John was beyond helpful through the entire process of securing a reverse mortgage. I interviewed and got proposals from 3 other lenders/brokers and none of them provided the kind of knowledge, kindness, or support that I got here. Trustworthy only begins to describe the experience and I would highly recommend this company.

  John Barlow patiently and accurately answered every single question/concern I had re: setting up Reverse Mortgage for our home. I had some background in financial matters, but this is a complex process and not a time one can afford to make a misstep in the decision making process; the effects are for the rest of our life (and beyond, considering our heirs). John utilized his listening and teaching skills to help build my understanding of the implications of each choice, and there-by my confidence we were producing an outcome that was just right for us. His good-humored nature always dissipated fearful tension that can arise in these situations, and allowed our engagement to be more lighthearted and fun. I recommend just breathe deeply, ask all your questions, understand as much as necessary to feel comfortable about the future, and let John Barlow use his expertise to wrap all your choices into a finished package that is just right for you.   Recently did a refi with them, and was beyond happy with the level of customer service. (Excellent interest rate, as well.) I've used other mortgage brokers in the past, and cannot rave about John Barlow and Sound Financial enough. Thank you for the fantastic work and hand holding through the process.

  I can't say enough good things about working through this refi. They were always available, quick to respond and got my loan closed quickly, even with the tight deadlines. Very happy with John and Sheila both. Pleasure to work with and I will be sending them additional clients! Rate was so good I hope to never need to refinance again, but am happy I chose to work with them.
