  I have been a customer for 4 years. A few days ago I was scammed by someone using their logo, branding and even text verification number. After that person stole my entire paycheck I called to dispute the charge. This person is a stranger to me. They made a person to person transfer to themselves. Despite being FDIC insured and thinking I had even a basic level of fraud protection I was told today that I am being held responsible for this fraud. I’m so disappointed in SoFi. I have been trying to get everyone I knew to sign up with them the entire time I worked with them. I’m glad they didn’t listen to me. I will NEVER work with SoFi again. Not for anything. I am closing my bank accounts and my investing accounts as soon as I can get them to a zero balance. Not that it will be hard since I have such low balances after this. I’m so completely disgusted. I didn’t give the person my password or account number or anything that I knew would compromise my account. The greed of an FDIC insured company not providing fraud protection is beyond terrible. Lesson learned

  I rarely experience something so bad that I actively find ways to vet and share, but this is an exception. Their website and chatbot don't offer enough clear info about their home loan. So I called both numbers the chatbot recommended, and both asked me for application or loan #, my SSN and DOB. Is that truly necessary for general inquiry? When I called one number, the agent just said that her dept only deals with existing loans. She offered little understanding for my question and situation, but transferred me to the other number. Same thing, there is no option to select general inquiry. When I managed to get through those questions on SSN/DOB, the agent straight up asked for my name and address. I explained that I have no profile with SoFi and only have general question about their home loan product. His response was very rude:"you can tell me you don't have a profile with us all you want, but I still have to take your info and check in the system to see if you have any application/loan with us." When explained again that I just have simple general questions about the product they offer, he hung up on me!!!! Can you believe it??? I don't know how SoFi can get any new business with this type of customer service...

  Got a personal loan from them 2018-2020, extremely easy process, good customer service, no complaints. Will likely use them as my bank moving forward due to the 1.25% rate on checking, tbd how well functionality such as wire transfers work.

  If you have financial goals such as to organize the money you make, save, spend, invest, and even achieving financial freedom. Move your money to SoFi. Traditional banks do nothing more than hoard your cash. SoFi hoards your cash plus it incentivizes you to be aware of personal financial responsibility. Which in my opinion, that sort of subconscious guidance is hard to find most places, even from your own parents sometimes. And because they didn’t have the guidance from their parents. SoFi has the platform for you to execute any financial transaction just like you can do with any traditional bank. The difference is you are more engaged with your money. You are more aware of your money. With traditional banks your money is out of sight and eventually out of mind. The more I open my SoFi app the more motivated I get to continue growing my personal wealth.

  I am a happy SoFi student loan refinance customer. Saved a lot in interest vs federal graduate student loans. Have recommended SoFi to all my friends.

  Works when it does, if it doesn’t you’re on your own. Never received welcome bonus for opening sofi money account or gift card for checking loan rate. Contacted customer support multiple times and got a different answer every time, each of which specified a different offer than the one I signed up with. Tried to withdraw funds from active investor account multiple times and they just schedule the transfer but it doesn’t occur, even days after the scheduled date. Unfortunately cannot recommend them anymore for these reasons.

  SoFi is a revolutionary fintech, committed to helping people make wise financial decisions. This is a huge contrast to legacy banks that prey on people with ultra high interest. Great company!

  I was a happy SOFI Money (Checking Account) customer until I was unable to access my funds to put a deposit down on an apartment. SOFI does not offer certified checks or money orders. They tell you your daily debit card limit is $6k, but if you went to a money order vendor like Western Union/USPS, the charge would show up as a cash advance which is limited to $150! Needless to say I was stuck when I needed my bank's help the most. Customer service was very friendly, but their was nothing they could do to help. If I cannot access my funds then I have no use for you as a bank. Buyer beware.

  I've been using SOFI for almost a year. For the most part no problems or at least nothing to major that I would notice. Until the beginning of this week. Their trading platform has been a disaster. I've been calling everyday and keep getting the same answer. "The engineers are working on it. I've had over $3,500 just disapear from my account. Cant buy or sell stock because of a negative balance in my account. Having to sell bitcoin to cover the negative balance. Missed out on thousands if not tens of thousands in profits because of the problems their having that are affecting the users. Complete BS and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to go through more hell if I want to see MY money.

  The website is pretty. That gets a star. We were interested in the interest we could earn on a "checking" account and rolling over 401ks into a traditional IRA. Also, we are in the process of buying a house. The large sums of money that needed to be transferred were unnecessarily troublesome. Two out of two wire transfers failed because of human error and a "glitch in the system" on their part and required resubmission. We were in contract and thankfully the sellers and lenders were patient. And it's not like customer service could give us something for their failures. Almost positive we won't stay account holders with SoFi. Surprising.
