  I’ve been with SFCU for almost 30 years now and have always been treated with the utmost respect. It pains me to read some of the reviews because I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this bank. I have had my mortgage through them for many years and couldn’t be happier with their service. Anytime I’ve had a question, whether by email, site messaging or via phone, they are always quick to respond and are not just helpful but in my opinion, go above and beyond! I love the feel of a neighborhood bank where everyone recognizes you and greets you with a smile. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

  Had a wonderful experience with my loans and banking. Exceptional customer service, they really go above and beyond to work with me and my loans went seamlessly. Best bank I have ever worked with and had an account with. Would highly recommend.

  Ever get a letter from a bank telling you what the charges are going to be for your refinance? I’m sure you have and I’m sure they kept to their word. Not at Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union. There you can get a letter from a loan officer stating what your charges will be and then have way more deducted from your account. And the reason, this loan officer was unaware of the charges when she sent the letter. Really? Unaware? So maybe you should check your numbers before sending a letter out with false and misleading information. Worst experience of my life. Yelled at by Joe Jenkins the banks lawyer, never heard from the loan officer to see how things were going, only get a letter from her with the wrong information. Great service, ha. Glad to be done with them. Be careful if you use this bank.

  We've been with SFCU since the late 1980's. We have always gotten excellent treatment, and quick responses to needs and questions that come up. They helped me get first round PPP during the pandemic. Then PPP forgiveness later on. They've been great for us.

  Got a great rate on my loan, very happy with it. However, the customer service can be improved. From the girl at the front desk to the teller that handles my transaction, not a smile, no 'Thank You' and never 'Have a Nice Day'. Not just once but consistently every time I go in to make a payment. The employees can learn a lot from the staff at CitizensBank.

  Might as well go to a big bank. Tried to refinance the home equity line I had with them. First they wanted me to take out more, no thanks, then their attorney, Joe Jenkins, can’t be bothered to answer my questions, is verbally abusive over the phone yelling at me. Then I get a letter informing me of closing costs if I refinance with them or the cost to close the loan out and go else where. Well I guess it doesn’t matter if you have things in writing because they just deducted $150 more than what was stated in their letter. I doubt this will be addressed as my other concerns were not addressed either. Go to this bank if you like poor customer service. I will edit this if anything changes.

  This Credit Union is awful, they do absolutely nothing for you. You have to do all the footwork yourself and beg them to make certain transactions for you they are not helpful and will not do anything for their customers. Strange transactions happen on my account and they don't know why stop payments will put on checks when I never put a stop payment on a check. And I've been fighting with them for two weeks to refund me for a duplicate purchase that went through my card twice. DO NOT JOIN THIS CREDIT UNION, THERES A REASON WHY THET HAVE LOW REVIEWS.

  My favorite bank in the world! After having tried most banks, over the years, large and small, where you are only a (disposable) number, I found this gem, when I moved to Shrewsbury, MA. People who work there treat me...like family. Unbelievable that a bank like this exist! 😃😃 Can you tell I am a happy customer? 😊😊

  I have been with SCU since 2002. I have NEVER been disappointed with any of the services. Everyone makes an effort to provide the best customer service. Most will call you by name upon seeing you. Banking over the phone is the best with the bank staff. I love SCU.
