  A lot of times, people can represent a company in a positive or negative way despite what the company actually offers. Given that, Matt Kuglin with Shelter has really gone above and beyond for me and my clients. I am always kept up-to-date, he always responds, he’s not afraid to make that call, and he does an astounding job clarifying any frustrating confusion. It’s so nice to work with someone who seems to really enjoy what he does AND to touch on Shelter, a lot of the loan programs they offer really do benefit clients. I’ve worked with a number of lenders over the years, and they offer amazing rates, low/competitive closing costs with no tacked on fees, and just the versatility of different loans to help different clients with different situations. It took a long time to convince me to give them a try, and I really wish I had done it sooner. Thanks for all you do - you, your team, and Shelter!   Shelter Home Mortgage was amazing. RJ and Nancy had an urgency about my project that I’ve never seen before. When you’re looking for a home, there are so many unknowns. They helped guide me through the process of my preapproval as if they were doing it for their family friend. I’ve never had a turnaround that quickly, nor have I ever had anything explained so thoroughly. And when I need an adjustment to my preapproval they went into action on a Sunday morning and made my urgency their urgency. It felt really good to be backed by such a strong team. RJ even called me back after I was not the winning bidder on my dream home. He called me to check on me and let me know that he was there for the next opportunity. I will look no further with every house purchase in my future. I have found my financing team.!! Chuck

  I was told I was approved by Steven. I found a way to get my down payment. Got everything ready and he told me I was not approved. He wasted my time. I spent 3 months looking for a house, found one, put an offer in and it got accepted. Then went to do the paperwork and he screwed me. I will never recommend this company again.

  I would give them 10 stars if I could. Allison Watson and Darrell Edquist with Shelter Home Mortgage have always provided top notch VIP service to my clients for many years. They are always one step ahead of the contract to close process, with no surprises at the closing table. Not to mention, the appraisal dept. is the best in the business- hands down!
