  We were running into barriers with getting a mortgage for a home that we were moving into at retirement. The retirement flag proposed a lot of challenges for the banks, even though we had significant finances in retirement accounts. A neighbor suggested that we contact Shannon Foley at Cornerstone Home Lending. Shannon immediately understood the situation, indicated that she has dealt with this process many times, and seamlessly navigated us through the process of obtaining this mortgage. It was such an extreme opposite compared to working with a local bank. Shannon and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and we always felt that they were working for us and in our best interest. The rest of the closing went through without a hitch. This was undoubtedly one of our best experiences with this move and purchase of a new home.

  My wife and I first met Shannon about three years ago when we were first dabbing our toes in the water regarding home buying. We thought we knew what we were doing, we had a good idea of where to go, etc. What Shannon and her crew did was open our eyes to so many possibilities of home ownership that I don't think we would be where we are now had it not been for her team. They guided us on ways to build our credit, to help us reduce debt effectively, and to utilize various programs out there that allowed us to - just this last Friday - sign the paperwork on our very own home. In the midst of the madness that is the homebuying craziness right now, she helped us get a stellar interest rate, she helped us navigate the paperwork and ultimately she handed us the keys to our very own home.
