  I’ve refinanced my house with Scott Smith twice now. The first time I refinanced solely to lower my APR and in turn my monthly payment. The second time I refinanced to combine my solar loan and my home loan, and I was able to do a cash out refinance to remodel my house. By combing the two loans I was saving so much money that taking out the equity to remodel my house still saved me money from what I was paying on the two loans before the refinance. Scott is so incredibly easy to work with. He goes above and beyond to be professional, honest, trustworthy, responsive, and just incredibly easy and pleasant to work with. I would recommend anyone, friends or family, to Scott Smith as I have complete faith that the work will always be completed with rave reviews. If you are on the fence give him a shot, you won’t regret it!

  Scott Smith was very good at communication. He told us in advance how the process would work, what information was needed to make the process expedient, and approximately when the information would be needed. All of it was true. Our loan closed two days early and that included the Christmas, New Years and Martin Luther King Jr. holidays, when loan processing activities don't happen. Scott was very good at getting back to me when I called or texted. When we finished a call he was good to ask if I had any questions before we parted ways because he would be out of pocket for a few hours, but he could answer now if needed. Again, rapid response and good communication skills were experienced Scott found the best loan program for us given our needs. He asked questions to help him pick out the right opportunity for us. His team was always there to answer questions about the loan or information required for the loan when needed. Very smooth and pleasant experience.

  I've worked with Scott and his team on several personal deals and a ton of transactions with my clients (I'm a full time Realtor), over the last 10 years and he is by far one of the only lenders I truly rely on and have faith in. Once he says they are approved, they are approved and he WILL get the loan done. Timely and at the best interest of the borrower. Hands down would recommend Scott! He WILL get loan closed!

  This was the second time we used Scott and his team at Barrett Financial for a home loan. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional, and kept us informed every step of the way. Whenever we had a question they responded very quickly with an answer for us. Scott and his team are friendly and a true pleasure to work with.   Scott helped me with the loan to purchase my home years ago, and just recently handled my refinance as well! I was referred to another loan officer a few months back and was not having a very good experience, but as soon as I reached out to Scott he immediately offered helpful suggestions and explained each option so clearly with an understanding of what would best benefit me in my individual situation.   Scott and his team were absolutely outstanding through the entire process from pre-approval to post-closing. We originally connected with Scott through a realtor referral while we still lived in California, 2 months before our move to the Phoenix area. He was able to quickly get us pre-approved so we could start our home search. He is very knowledgeable and walked us through many different types of programs so we had options that would work best for our budget. It took us awhile to find a home - 8 months! Scott was on top of getting our pre approval updated every 3 months. Once we were finally under contract, he and his team quickly worked to get us approved and closed.
