  My insurance company told me my daughters car was totaled. I decided to have Schlafer Auto Body give me a quote. This is a family run business. Al was awesome to work with and we were able to get my daughter's fixed for less than what the insurance company said it would cost. Al explained everything and honored the price quoted even though I know he had to do more work than he initially thought. I would highly recommend this shop to do body work. Thank you for such an awesome experience and my daughter is happy to have her car back.

  They took care of my damaged hatch on my 2019 traverse. Price was such that they did the work for what my insurance covered after my $500 deductible. ( no out of pocket cost) Had the hatch removed, reassembled and painted and a clean car in 3 days. Been using these people for projects for 15 years

  We purchased a used vehicle from Schlafer. It is understood that a used vehicle carries risk, however, the vehicle we purchased, after specifically asking if there were leaks and told there were none did indeed have leaks. The head gaskets were leaking and the repair cost $2800.00. We contacted Schlafer and let them know what was going on and they in turn contacted our mechanic. They told the mechanic “we didn’t make very much money on this sale” but would “see what they could do”. We never heard back one way or the other. My caution to anyone working with Schlafer is do they stand behind their transactions? In our case they certainly did not.

  A complete scam! Schafer auto body sold me a used car that I ended up having to invest over $3,000 in a matter of 2 months of buying the car. When asked about previous problems before the purchase was made they made faulty claims and lied about the condition of the car. I have to caution anyone buying a used care from this shop. They don’t care about their customers, they only care about making a profit. What a great quality local company hey?

  Would 100% recommend Schlafer to anyone who needs any sort of body work! Backstory; when my car was rear-ended I brought it first to Abra in Brookfield. The insurance adjuster ended up totalling it for damage to the rear hatch owing mostly to the fact that a brand new rear hatch would cost thousands of dollars. Not wanting to get rid of a perfectly good car I asked Abra if they would fix it, they told me they do not work on 'totaled' vehicles no matter how lightly they are damaged. I saw a previous good review for Schlafer so I thought I'd call them up. Al was incredibly friendly and willing to work with me, I ended up riding with him to pick my vehicle up from Abra within an hour of first calling. He took the time to explain exactly what he was planning to do and even showed me how the frame machine he was to use on my car worked. Not only did he find and put on a used rear hatch, he did additional work I had been meaning to do all for far less than the insurance payout. In a matter of 4 days my 'totaled' car was made better than new. In a world of growing chain auto shops, you aren't going to find customer service and craftsmanship like you find here anywhere else; and in the world of mom & pop shops like this, Schlafer stands above the rest!

  Bought a used car which needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs—repairs that were not made aware at the time of purchase. Staff was unhelpful and non-apologetic when made aware of all mechanical issues with recent purchase. Would not advise purchasing a vehicle from Schlafer.

  My Lincoln LS took a nasty hit. It hurt my feelings to see the eye sore from the damage but, I was all smiles when I came to pick it up and seen it was showroom ready again. Danny and Senior were a pleasure to do bussiness with, true deffinition of perfectionist. I was not treated like just another customer, I was treated like family. The professionalism and integrity of this shop is outstanding. Schlafer Auto Body is deffinately a 5 Star Quality business that I would recommend to anyone! Awesome job guys, keep up the great work!
