  Awful experience. I knew when my loan got sold I was in for an uphill battle.. well at first I was extremely excited that I had received a loan mitigation contact that appeared to be helpful. She got us into a trial mod and I actually believed that it was going to be ok.. well after almost a year, our loan has been bought out again.. they still have not gotten the info from Rushmore and once Rushmore knew that my loan was being bought out they acted as if they no longer knew us and pretty much dismissed us.

  This is the worst mortgage company in the world. I wish I didn't have to deal with them. They are very unprofessional and liars. I have a claim from my insurance company since January and they are still holding my money. My claim was for my floor and now it is worst. Every time you call, you get one lie after another. I will definitely get away from these crooks. This has been a nightmare. I truly hate this company. I am looking to leave this company within the next two months. God is on my side. Everything will work out because I believe in the magic of prayer. I pray that this company try to act like they care about their customers because we do paid them their salary. Customer service is horrible and they don't care about their customers. They are after the money!!

  Rushmore is ridiculous. Having to pay $5 every month for an automated service is a rip off. No choice bc online payments not available in my area.... for 10 years?? Come on rushmore..... and they broke our contract when our loan was sold to them.... completely ripped off.

  Our mortgage was sold to this company and its been hell since. At this time my wife was in the hospital after heart surgery and we did not recieve a notice of the change and she called in and made the payment to the other company..and no one can seem to find it. Now they say we are now a month behind and insist we pay it again plus late fees of over $300.00 for every month we are behind. Now we were not informed of this change until late in the month of May, but the selling of our mortgage took place on the first of the month of May. Our previous payment went in in the last week of April, for the month of May. But now no one can find proof it was paid by phone, but my bank acct. shows it was paid. This is beginning of hell. We told our previous mortgage company our payment could not be made by the first due to our irregular schedule paydays and they were okay with it as long as it was paid before the next payment was due and we would not get a fee for being late. Now my wife tried to call and found out they wouldnt talk to her and she is the one who takes care of the bills, as Iam on the road all the time. So I sent the POA they requested and they still will not talk to my wife and insist we are one month behind and want me to talk to the collections dept.to pay our mortgage. Needless to say this company is greedy and do not care about the people they deal with at all and its been an on going battle with them for almost four months. If we have to pay late fees for four months of a total of $1200.00 and the missing payment of $1300.00 thats $2500.00 they are stealing from us. And on top of all this b.s. they are raising our monthly payment over $200.00 for flood insurance when we have never have had a flood in the two years we have lived here and in the 35 years since it was built neither did the 2 previous owners. Our house is built up 1-2 ft. from the ground. So why do we have to have flood insurance? Talk about scam artists...If anyone has had their mortgage company bought by this place RUN....Get it refinanced as fast as you can. If I could give then negative marks I would. They have made our lives a living hell and has put my wifes health at risk due to the undue stress they are adding to our lives. She is at a high risk of another stoke and she has a mass in her lung that most likely is lung cancer. These people say they work with you and they care. The only thing they work at is working at getting you out of your home and they only care about the money they can make off your hard work. We have never missed a payment since we bought this house. Its never beed paid on the first but never not paid. And that was okay for the other two companys. I dont understand their lack of understanding or anything but their greed and lies they put on their papers and in their calls. BEWARE!!!

  Michael from customer service was amazing! He was very courteous and helpful. He is the very first person from Rushmore that treated me like a person not just an account number. He is the reason for the 5 Stars, I hope he answers every time I call. Thank you Michael.

  Our loan was transferred in Sept 2016 from Northpointe Bank and so far so good. I was really concerned after reading the reviews here but so far they have done a good job applying payments and escrow payments. I do everything online now so I am on top of things. One star deduction because they should have email communication this is the internet age. I will update if things change.

Their staff are great to deal with and really care about their clients and find solutions to any issues that are encountered in the course of your mortgage.   Capital One dumped my loan in this garbage pit resembling a late 1990s bank. They do not allow opting-out of selling your personal information. Basic web site functionality like signing up, logging in, and checking information literally causes the site to crash and go offline for a few seconds. Update: My loan contract didn't have early payment penalties but Rushmore charges $$$ documentation fees. All I got was a photocopy of an official filing that would have cost them about $13.

  The agent I worked with was very courteous and gave me the information I needed to get. She also directed me to where I could resource forms. My only complaint was I wasn’t able to directly text them with any future questions. But overall I was satisfied.

  Rushmore brought my old mortgage and it has been headaches and very depressing ..first they have the wrong names on the mortgage papers..i have send them all the documents that i was request...and for a least 6 months i been calling twice a month and their customer services are very rude and nasty..they don't have any problems taking the check from us with different names from the mortgage to our checks..we really don't what to do anymore..we can't get thru the DCA dept. if you has a choice to choose this mortgage please don't take this company.
