  Rob did a fantastic job getting my refinance done in a tight timeline. I had to get it done in only 3 weeks prior to going out of the country. Rob was able to run through the process efficiently and worked on nights and weekends to ensure we were able to make it to closing prior to my trip. It was a huge relief to get it done prior to my trip and I appreciate his work ethic throughout the process. He provided me with a good rate on top of everything else. Highly recommend him.

  Rob Downs helped me purchase my first home. The buying process was initially overwhelming, but Rob patiently held my hand the whole way.   Rob was an absolute pleasure to work with during the home buying process! My husband and I were selling our home and buying a new home. As if that wasn’t challenging enough, there were 3 failed contracts due to financing on the sale of our home which made buying the new home a very rough process on both my husband and I and the sellers of our new home. But NOT for Rob. He was there for everyone during the entire process. Each time I called or emailed Rob with bad news, he stepped in and took over! He was willing to work on our buyer’s behalf each time their financing fell through. I am quite sure he could have made one or all of them work but wasn’t given the chance. Once we finally made it to closing, EVERYONE, and I mean everyone, expressed their gratefulness to have had the pleasure of working with Rob. From the attorney’s office, to the buyer’s agent, to the seller’s agent and of course my husband and I. I wish I could give you 6+ stars, Rob. Phenomenal service and unmatched expertise! Rob would have my recommendation every time.

  Rob helped me in purchasing my very first home, and things could not have gone smoother. He knew what budget I was trying to stay within and managed to get me a mortgage that was lower than I expected! Very knowledgable, friendly, and responsive.   I contacted Rob Downs at MVB Mortgage at the recommendation of a friend. I was refinancing due to divorce, and felt I should get a "second opinion" to ensure that I got the best terms possible. Rob and his team offered better loan terms, but just as importantly, they took the time to fully understand my specific details. They patiently answered any questions that I had, they were responsive and kind, and they were QUICK! It was clear through the whole process that they wanted to make it go as smoothly as possible for me.   Rob came highly recommended by a friend, and he didn’t disappoint one bit. We shopped around a bit, and he significantly beat the rates of everyone else we talked to. Rob worked hard to make sure we had all our ducks in a row early in the process, so that even when we ended up in an expedited close, the process was super smooth. Most importantly, he provided an unparalleled level of service, making himself available when we had questions, and sometimes staying on the phone late into the evening to carefully explain every step of the process.

  Before purchasing my home, I was very apprehensive about the process, having heard horror stories about loan approval and bidding wars and general financial stress. I experienced none of that. Despite being self employed with a number of different income sources, working with Rob was easy and pain free. He thoroughly explained every step of the way in securing a mortgage loan and walked me through the options for down payments and interest.
