Every person we were in contact with by e-mail or phone was very helpful, knowledgeable and personable. At the Portland-Hawthorne branch, Josh listened to us, answered our questions and assisted us with friendliness. We have no regrets about switching to Rivermark C.U.

Dequesha Smith1I would put zero stars if I could. Rivermark cancelled my card on May 30 and told me it would take 7-10 business days for them to mail me a new one, I would receive it on Tuesday or Wednesday June 11-12. So I have patiently waited. It’s now Wednesday and no card so I call and speak to a woman who could not give me any information about where my card is or when I’ll receive it nor does she offer me any other solutions. SO I call again and speak to a nice young man Jonah who told me I was given misinformation from their representative and that I would receive my card Thursday or Friday. WELL it’s now Saturday so I call again and explain to their representative Jennifer who was extremely rude and spoke over me the whole I time I asked her if they could expedite a new card to me to which she said it would cost me $30!? I’ve waited well over the 10 days to receive me card the time they told me! I ask to speak to a manager she said she was busy and I told her I would like to hold for him. She told me I can not hold because she has other people to help I told her my problem hasn’t be resolved and it’s not less important than what other people have going on. She told me I couldn’t hold and that she would speak to the manager and have him call me back. 30 minutes go bye and they close at 6 on saturdays so I had about an hour left so I called back AND GUESS WHAT the manager went home Jennifer went home and told her colleagues That she handled the situation by forwarding me to the managers voicemail! Never happened and at that point I was told that there wasn’t a manager on duty. It’s saturday and I don’t have a debit card so I will not be able to access my funds for another 2 full days. Absolutely the worst customer service I have recieved in a long time except for Jonah he was really nice and respectful the whole time.

Eliz Mack1BEWARE! We have had an "account" that we opened for a vehicle auto loan 7 years ago. When the auto loan was paid off there was an overpayment that we just decided to leave in there for a rainy day. We receive interest. Today I got a statement that they withdrew the money and sent me a zero balance statement. I called to find out what is going on and they said they closed the account for inactivity and charged me my balance as a "fee". They said they sent me letters repeatedly, which was a lie. I receive a statement every month and have not received ANY letters. I called and the lady says they closed my account on the 22nd of May. So the middle of the month? Just some random date? No calls? So I asked for my money back which the lady says that they can't do because the account has been closed. So I asked her, where is the letter that says the account was closed? She says the zero statement is my letter. What?! How is this legal???? This conversation carried on and I never got a straight answer. BEWARE!

We do send out letters of inactivity well before we close out a membership, and we close the membership only if we don't get a response. Usually the closing date is around the anniversary of the last transaction, so that could be why it was on the 22nd of the month. Jim W5I live nearby and joined many years ago. This is not my primary financial institution. IOW my mortgage and etc. held elsewhere. It has proven to be a very competitive and winning place to do business, and overall I am very pleased and a happy customer. In several cases they have exceeded what my primary bank offered for a particular banking product. I do have a bias in that I would rather do business with a local intuition with local ownership than a publicly traded entity. I live here and would like my money to circulate here. Rivermark has created that option, in the bottom line and I think that is worth investing in..

A1Every time I've dealt with this bank it's been unpleasant. They have worse customer service than one of the big banks with highly restrictive hours on when you can get in touch with anyone. I've had an auto loan with them for 3 years which is 6 MONTHS PAID AHEAD. However, they decided on policy they don't allow you to "pay your loan ahead" so I was charged a late fee thinking I was fine, since I was so far paid ahead. When I asked them to refund the late fee since I had paid on time for the last 3 years perfectly and was even well paid ahead in my loan, they refused. Worst credit union ever. BEWARE.

Joseph C Rossi1I switched from a big Bank years ago to this Credit Union. I was trying to escape the big Bankness. I'm a fan of credit unions over regular Banks. Rivermark is becoming a regular Bank. As a account holder I don't really feel my money should be going to marketing and advertising and fancy new buildings. That's awesome that Rivermark is successful but I want it to be at credit union still, and not just striving to grow to a regular bank.

Ben Johnson5this ATM was the most magical machine I've ever seen I went up to it and it was able to process a piece of plastic I put into it and then give me bills of cash. I didn't know quite how to describe this miraculous sensation and wonderful miracle of modern technology. I can only say that if the world continues in this direction I don't see why anybody should ever have to actually be within a hundred feet of anybody else ever again. It's an ATM I don't know why you could leave a review for these but here you are.

She helped me get approved for a loan to consolidate some debt. She was very informative and was able to answer all my questions. You will always have me as a member!

Joseph Dixon1I was told that they don't do shared branching inside, and directed to use the ATM outside... machine was out of order, no sign posted... I inform the staff, they tell me they are already aware but can only help members.

We normally place signs indicating when the kiosk is out of order and further indicate a shared branching alternative. I regret this didn't happen and will make sure to do a better job in the future.
